This 1958 Ferrari 250 GT Coupé Pinin Farina body shell was separated from its chassis and running gear more than a decade ago. It is from one of just 335 examples produced and is currently secured to a wooden pallet. The side glass, chrome window surrounds, doors, and lids remain installed. This PF Coupé body shell is now offered on a bill of sale in Sydney, Australia with a complimentary wooden crate and delivery to a Sydney international shipping port or freight depot. Designed and bodied by Pinin Farina and introduced at Milan in 1958, the 250 GT Coupé was intended to be a replacement for 250 GT Coupés bodied by Boano or Ellena. This left-hand-drive example was parted out years ago, and the seller reportedly acquired the shell from a licensed auction house in 2009. Areas of flaking are visible in the black paint, with rust evident on the exposed steel. Sections of the body were cut when the car was separated from the chassis, and metal repair is required on the lower sections of the body including the rocker panels, lower front fenders, trunk floor, and rear valance. The sheetmetal floor has been removed from the passenger compartment. A headliner and dome light remain installed. The seller is willing to assist in local delivery within Australia to a freight depot in the Sydney area. Alternatively, the body can be collected, with or without the crate, from the seller’s business. Filed under: parts and automobilia
