This 1960 Cadillac Series 62 convertible is powered by a 390ci V8 linked with a four-speed automatic transmission and is finished in red over red and white leather upholstery. Equipment includes a power-operated ivory convertible top, a matching boot, power steering, power-assisted drum brakes, 15″ steel wheels, full wheel covers, a power-adjustable front bench seat, power windows and locks, a heater, and a Bluetooth-capable stereo. The car was acquired by the seller in 2014, and subsequent work consisted of re-trimming the interior, overhauling the transmission and brake system, and installing a replacement Rochester carburetor, heater core, heater valve, fuel tank and straps, coil springs, and shock absorbers. This Series 62 convertible is now offered with service records and a Kansas title in the seller’s name. The body left the factory finished in Olympic White (12) and was repainted in its current shade of red under prior ownership. Details include a power-operated ivory soft top, a matching top boot, chrome trim and bumpers, dual side mirrors, styled tail fins, twin exhaust outlets, and rear fender skirts. There are paint bubbles on the hood and left rocker panel, and a touched-up scratch is noted on the lower right-front fender. A snap is broken on the boot cover. The 15″ steel wheels wear Cadillac-crest covers and are mounted with Firestone Deluxe Champion whitewall tires. A full-size spare is mounted in the trunk. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by vacuum-assisted drums. The brake system is said to have been overhauled, and the shock absorbers and coil springs were reportedly replaced in 2014. The cabin features front and rear bench seating reupholstered in button-tufted red and white leather joined by a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. Equipment includes a heater, an electric clock, power windows and door locks, and a factory-style stereo that has reportedly been modified for Bluetooth capability. The Autronic Eye light sensor does not work. The interior was re-trimmed in August 2017, and the heater core and heater valve were reportedly replaced in October 2021. The red and white steering wheel frames a horizontal-sweep 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 21k miles, approximately 1,900 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The 390ci V8 features a Rochester four-barrel carburetor and was factory rated at 325 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. The carburetor, fuel tank, and tank straps were replaced under current ownership. An oil change was performed in October 2022. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Hydra-Matic four-speed automatic transmission that was overhauled in July 2015. Decoding the cowl tag reveals the following production details: Style 60-6267 – 1960 Series 62 convertible Body FW7579 – Fleetwood body number Trim 28 – Red & White leather upholstery Paint 12 – Olympic White exterior finish Top 1 – Ivory convertible top Acc. EHYN – E-Z Eye glass, heater, electric six-way control seat, power vent window regulators The Kansas title lists an “Antique” vehicle brand.
