This custom Ford step van-style truck is said to have been created by combining the body panels of a 1960 Ford step van with the chassis, drivetrain, and suspension components of a 2001 Dodge Ram 3500 dually pickup. The body was acquired by the seller, Centerforce Clutches of Prescott, Arizona, in 2013 and subsequently adapted to the modified underpinnings of the donor truck. It later served as a promotional vehicle for the company and was exhibited at the 2016 and 2017 SEMA shows in Las Vegas, Nevada. The van is finished in a multi-color paint scheme over a custom two-tone leather interior with wood floor planks. Power is provided by a 5.9-liter Cummins turbodiesel inline-six that was reportedly rebuilt by BD Diesel in British Columbia, Canada, with a compound turbo kit, a Colt Cams camshaft, and upgraded injectors. Additional equipment includes a six-speed manual transmission, an air suspension system, four-wheel disc brakes, Eagle 20” wheels, LED headlights, a fabric sunroof, a drop-down loading ramp, and a sound system consisting of a Kenwood digital media receiver, a Wet Sounds equalizer, and ARC Audio speakers. This custom step van is now offered with an Arizona title listing the vehicle as a 1960 Ford truck. The body was repainted in a silver, black, and orange livery with yellow stripes during the aforementioned build. Decorative pinstriping adorns the hood as well as the drop-down loading ramp. Additional features include LED headlights and fog lights along with a split windshield, a fabric sunroof, tow mirrors, rear fender extensions, a receiver hitch, and a roof-mounted exhaust outlet. The seller notes that the sunroof leaks. Peeling paint on the left side is shown up close in the gallery along with blemishes around the truck. Eagle 20” alloy wheels are mounted with Falken Ziex S/TZ05 tires. The suspension features Ridetech air springs along with modified A-arms up front and a four-link setup with a panhard bar out back. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted disc brakes at all four corners. The seller notes that the air suspension presets have not been programmed, and the parking brake is inoperative. The cabin features front captain’s chairs and a rear bench trimmed in gray leather with contrasting inserts and orange accents. The driver’s seat is affixed to an air suspension base, and a Wilwood shifter and pedals are complemented by perforated aluminum panels lining the front footwells. Sound deadening material was reportedly applied under the wood floor. The seller notes that the Vintage Air air conditioning system does not blow cold, and the handheld remote for the power-operated sliding door is inoperative. A Kenwood digital media receiver and Wet Sounds equalizer are mounted in a custom overhead console and connected to ARC Audio amplifiers. The sound system includes an array of ARC Audio subwoofers and speakers located above the rear seats as well as removable Wet Sounds outdoor units. A replacement backup camera is said to have been installed in preparation for the sale. A banjo-style steering wheel is mounted to a Flaming River tilt column and fronts Dakota Digital instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. Digital controllers for the engine management and suspension systems are mounted on the left side of the dash. The digital odometer indicates 2k miles, which are said to represent the distance added since completion of the build. A wood-lined loading ramp provides access to the rear cargo area, which is equipped with tie-down rails along the back and sides. The seller states that the 5.9-liter Cummins turbodiesel inline-six was rebuilt by BD Diesel utilizing their compound turbo system and features an intercooler, a Colt Cams camshaft, ARP fasteners, and upgraded injectors. Additional components include an Edge Juice With Attitude engine management system, a Painless Performance wiring harness, a Mishimoto radiator, and three Optima deep-cycle batteries that were reportedly replaced in preparation for the sale. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a G56 six-speed manual transmission that is said to have been rebuilt prior to installation and equipped with a Centerforce Diesel Twin clutch kit as well as a LazarSmith reinforcement guard. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery. Photos taken at various stages during the build are presented in the gallery along with images of the van on display at the SEMA show. An identification plate showing the VIN—P35J0H57674—is affixed within the engine compartment. The Arizona title shows a 20k-mile odometer reading and lists a “Mileage in excess of odometer mechanical limits” notation.
