This 1960 Porsche 356B coupe was used as a race car in Florida and campaigned in SCCA, HSR, and SVRA events before being acquired by the seller in 2019 and subsequently retrofitted with an electric NetGain HyPer 9 motor, which is powered by five Tesla battery modules and linked with a four-speed manual transaxle. Four-wheel disc brakes have been added along with green-finished steel wheels, Bilstein shocks, and a 356 Enterprises camber compensator. The car is finished in Slate Gray over a race-prepped interior housing a carbon fiber dash and door panels, a roll bar, green vinyl Speedster-style seats with harnesses, and an AEM digital dash display. This 356B coupe is now offered with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, service records, logbooks, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name, listing it as a 1961 model. The T5 body was introduced for the 1960 model year with revised front-end styling, including raised bumpers and headlights along with a redesigned front trunk lid handle. This Reutter-built example came finished from the factory in Slate Gray (6001) and has been repainted. The bumpers have been removed, and additional modifications include a louvered decklid, polycarbonate rear windows, fog lights, and a charging port in the right rear window. The seller notes evidence of prior body damage, including body work at the front and right side of the car. Green-finished 15″ steel Porsche space saver wheels are mounted with 205/60 Toyo Proxes R888 tires. Four wheel disc brakes have been added along with Bilstein shocks and a 356 Enterprises camber compensator. The cabin houses a roll bar with padded door bars along with Speedster-style seats trimmed in green vinyl with black piping mounted on custom steel boxes housing the batteries. Multi-point harnesses are fitted for both occupants, and additional highlights include a Wilwood pedal box and a carbon fiber dash, door panels, rear firewall cover, and rear parcel shelf, which covers the charger and DC/DC convertor. The green leather-wrapped Moto-Lita steering wheel is mounted on a quick release and fronts an AEM digital dash display with GPS capability. The digital odometer shows 265 miles, and total mileage is unknown. The NetGain HyPer 9 electric motor was installed in 2023 and utilizes five 22-volt 5.3-kWh Tesla Model S battery modules that are controlled by an EV West kit and Thunderstruck Motors battery management system. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a Porsche 741 four-speed manual transaxle with modified gearing and a ZF limited-slip differential The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity shows the factory colors, optional equipment, and a completion date of March 24, 1960.
