This 1962 Mercedes-Benz 300SE is a European-market coupe that is said to have been sold new in Germany and subsequently was imported from Greece to Canada by the second owner. In the early 1980s the car was acquired by the third owner, from whom the selling dealer acquired it in late 2020. Power is provided by a 3.0-liter M189 inline-six equipped with fuel injection and mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. The body is finished in cream, and the car is equipped with European-spec headlights, a brown leather interior, and 14″ wheels. This W112 is now offered in Canada with transferable British Columbia registration. Finished from the factory in white with a weissgrau roof, the pillarless body has been refinished in the current cream color. Additional photos displaying the finish, European-spec headlights, trim, and glazing as well as noted corrosion on the front bumper and chipped paint near the grille are included in the gallery below. Steel wheels measuring 14″ wear body-color hubcaps and polished trim rings and are mounted with 195/65 Toyo Extensa tires. A matching spare equipped with a Riken tire is located in the trunk. Power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes and air suspension were standard on the W112, and the air suspension currently positions the car lower than the stock ride height upon initial use, according to the seller. The cabin is upholstered in brown leather with a matching dash pad and door panels. Wear is evident on the seat upholstery, and cracks and tears are visible on the front seat cushions. A two-spoke steering wheel fronts a 7k-rpm tachometer, a 210-km/h speedometer, and vertical gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 81,500 kilometers (~51k miles). The 3.0-liter M189 inline-six features Bosch fuel injection and was factory rated at 160 horsepower (DIN). Power is sent to the rear wheels through a column-shifted four-speed automatic transmission.
