This 1964 Buick Riviera was refurbished under prior ownership and acquired by the seller in 2021. Subsequent work consisted of rechroming the primary front bumper and side mirror, repairing the rear window trim, rebuilding the cylinder heads, installing an Edelbrock 650 cfm carburetor, and replacing the brake booster, starter solenoid, alternator, battery, shock absorbers, and coil springs. Power is provided by a replacement 425ci Nailhead V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission and the car is finished in gray-green over gray and black upholstery. Equipment includes 15″ steel wheels with wire-style covers, quad round headlights, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, rear bucket seats, power windows, and a Kenwood CD stereo. Previously offered on BaT in October 2019, this Riviera is now offered in Canada with refurbishment records and photos, recent service records, spare trim pieces, and British Columbia registration. The car was repainted in a custom shade of gray-green under prior ownership. Exterior details include quad round headlights, a stylized “R” hood ornament, a remote-controlled driver-side mirror, faux quarter panel scoops, a power antenna, chrome bumpers, and chrome turned-down exhaust finishers. The rear window trim was repaired and the primary front bumper and mirror were re-chromed under current ownership. Paint chips and other blemishes are shown in the gallery below. The 15″ steel wheels wear wire-style covers and are mounted with 225/75 Champiro 75 GT Radial tires. A full-size spare is located in the trunk. The car is equipped with power-assisted steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted front and rear drums. The brake booster, shocks, and coil springs were replaced under current ownership. The cabin features front and rear bucket seats upholstered in gray and black upholstery together with matching door panels. Interior appointments include a full-length center console, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and power windows. A Kenwood AM/FM receiver with Bluetooth connectivity is installed in the glovebox. An air conditioning system leak was repaired and the system was recharged in 2024. The wood-rimmed steering wheel is mounted to a tilting steering column and frames a 140-mph speedometer, an analog clock, a fuel-level gauge, and warning lights for oil pressure, coolant temperature, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 78k miles, approximately 5k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The replacement 425ci Nailhead V8 was overhauled and overbored .030″ under prior ownership and is fitted with a single four-barrel carburetor, an Isky camshaft, shorty-style exhaust headers, and Eelco finned valve covers. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a Super Turbine 400 three-speed automatic transmission. An aftermarket dual exhaust system has been fitted.
