1966 Cadillac DeVille

This 1966 Cadillac DeVille convertible was purchased by the seller in 1999 and underwent a refurbishment that was completed in 2004. The car is finished in white over red leather and is powered by a 429ci V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a power-operated white soft top, rear fender skirts, a chrome grille and bumpers, power steering, power-assisted drum brakes, 15″ steel wheels with covers, power-adjustable bench seating, power windows, an AM/FM radio, and automatic climate control. This DeVille is now offered with a clean Ohio title in the seller’s name. The car was refinished in white in 2004, and styling incorporates a chrome grille, bumpers, and trim. Other features include a power-operated white soft top, rear fender skirts, and rear tailfins. The 15″ steel wheels wear full Cadillac covers and are mounted with Hankook Optima white-line tires measuring 235/75. The car is equipped with power steering, and stopping power is provided by power-assisted front and rear drum brakes. The springs, suspension bushings, body mounts, and steering gear were replaced as part of the refurbishment. The cabin houses a power-adjustable bench upholstered in Medium Red leather. Appointments include chrome dash trim, power windows, an AM/FM radio, a trunk-mounted Pioneer CD changer, and automatic climate control, the latter of which does not work. The three-spoke steering wheel wears a Cadillac wreath and crest and is mounted to a tilting and telescoping steering column. Instrumentation includes a horizontal 120-mph speedometer and gauges for engine temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 77k miles, approximately 12k of which were added under current ownership. The 429ci V8 was factory rated at 340 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. A dual exhaust system has been installed.
