This 1967 Ford Mustang fastback is a factory GT ordered with the S-code 390ci V8 and a Toploader four-speed manual transmission. The car was built in Metuchen, New Jersey in August 1967 and was delivered new to Dave Smith Ford of Pataskala, Ohio. Finished in Acapulco Blue over two-tone Deluxe Blue Decor, the car is equipped with power steering, upper and lower center console, air conditioning, an AM radio, and more. The seller has added approximately 3k of its 88k indicated miles since acquiring the car two and a half years ago in Canada. Work carried out in February 2020 reportedly included new spark plugs and wires, distributor cap and rotor, fluid service, and servicing the air conditioning. This S-code Mustang is now offered with recent service records, a car cover, an uninstalled steering wheel, a build sheet, a Deluxe Marti report, and transferable British Columbia registration. The car was reportedly repainted in its original shade of Acapulco Blue (D) prior to the seller’s purchase. The GT Equipment Group included grille-mounted fog lamps. Factory 14″ styled steel wheels wear 215/70 Goodyear Eagle ST tires. Power front disc brakes were also included in the GT package, with drums in the rear. The interior features two-tone Deluxe Blue Decor vinyl upholstery on the front bucket seats, with matching door panels, dashboard, and carpets. Factory options included an upper and lower center console, deluxe seatbelts, the Courtesy Light Group, an AM radio, and the Interior Decor Group. Air conditioning was optioned from the factory, and the seller states that refrigerant was added in February 2020. A Shelby three-spoke wood-rimmed steering wheel is mounted on a Tilt-Away column. Factory instrumentation includes a 140-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, and a five-digit odometer that shows just over 88k miles, approximately 3k of which are said to have been added by the seller. The seller states the original steering wheel and column are included in the sale that is provided below. The S-code 390ci V8 is paired with a numbers-matching Toploader four-speed manual transmission and a 3.00:1 rear axle. Work carried out in preparation for the sale in February 2020 reportedly included replacement of the spark plugs and wires, distributor cap and rotor, and an oil-pan bolt, as well as fluid service. The engine buck tag pictured above shows 390ci, and a photo showing the “S” is provided in the gallery below along with the numbers on the carburetors. The stamping 7T02S294727 is also pictured on the transmission in gallery below and matches the number shown on the door tag and on the Deluxe Marti report.
