This Lotus 41 race car was assembled in the 1960s to compete in the Formula 3 series and was acquired by the seller in 2018 for participation in VARA and SVRA vintage racing events. Service under current ownership is said to have included repainting the body in blue with white stripes and overhauling the 1.6-liter inline-four. Equipment includes a five-speed manual transaxle, a roll hoop, adjustable suspension, a fire suppression system, and dual Weber carburetors. Additional body panels, suspension components, and gear sets are included in the sale along with a spare set of wheels. This Lotus 41 is offered in Texas with service records, historic documents, and a bill of sale. The fiberglass bodywork is mounted to a tubular steel frame and was refinished under previous ownership in blue with white stripes and #41 graphics. A curved polycarbonate windscreen surrounds the cockpit, and features include a roll hoop, dual side-view mirrors, and a single exhaust exit. Stone chips are visible on the nose and additional blemishes are shown up close in the gallery. Anodized 13″ alloy wheels have black centers and wear Lotus-branded center caps and Avon racing tires. The suspension features adjustable sway bars and tubular control arms, along with adjustable coilovers at all four corners. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes. The cockpit houses a single fixed bucket seat as well as a DJ Safety racing harness, a fire suppression system, and a Lotus-branded wood gear shift knob. The three-spoke Lotus steering wheel wears a push-to-talk button and fronts a 12k-rpm tachometer, an oil temperature gauge, and a combination gauge for coolant temperature and oil pressure. An odometer is not installed and total mileage is unknown. The mid-mounted Ford-sourced 1.6L inline-four features dual weber carburetors, an MSD 6AL ignition, a tubular stainless-steel exhaust manifold, and a front-mounted oil cooler. The engine is said to have been recently refurbished by Savannah Race Engineering, of Georgia. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle. Included in the sale are a set of wheels and tires, suspension components, axles, gear sets, fiberglass body panels, and miscellaneous parts as well as service records and historic documentation.
