This 1967 Mercedes-Benz 250SE cabriolet underwent a cosmetic refurbishment by Kalbacher’s Auto & Marine Service in the late 1990s, and it is finished in white over blue leather. The car is powered by a 2.5-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission and is equipped with a blue convertible top, 14″ steel wheels with covers, driving lights, disc brakes, power steering, dual side mirrors, a cassette radio, power windows, air conditioning, and a heater. This W111 cabriolet was acquired by the selling dealer in 2024 and is now offered at no reserve with service records, a copy of the data card, manufacturer’s literature, and transferable New York registration. Finished from the factory in Papyrus White (717), the car was repainted in 1999, at which time the rear fenders, decklid, and floors were replaced, along with sections of the frame and firewall. A replacement blue soft top was installed in 1993, and additional equipment includes two-tone pinstripes, chrome wheel arch moldings, a top boot, front vent windows, US-specification headlights, driving lights, dual side mirrors, and chrome bumpers. Paint meter readings are provided in the gallery. The 14″ steel wheels feature bright-finished covers with color-matched centers and are mounted with 195/75 Yokohama whitewall tires. The suspension includes an independent double-wishbone front setup with coil springs along with a rear single-joint swing axle. Stopping power is provided by disc brakes at each corner, and the car is equipped with power steering. The cabin features individual front seats that were reupholstered in blue leather in the late 1980s, and wood trim accents the dash and A-pillars. Amenities include power windows, three-point front seatbelts, a dashboard-mounted clock, Coco floor mats, a Blaupunkt cassette radio, air conditioning, and a heater. The rear seats were reupholstered in 1999. There are stains on the headliner of the soft top. The two-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and aftermarket lace-up cover, and it fronts a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer has rolled over and shows 33k miles. The 2.5-liter M129 inline-six features Bosch mechanical fuel injection and was factory rated at 150 horsepower and 159 lb-ft of torque. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. A copy of the data card is viewable above. Chassis number 1102310086461 is shown above, and the VIN on the New York registration omits the first “1.” The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a state that does not issue titles for a vehicle of its age.  Filed under: fintail, w111
