1967 Mercury Monterey

This 1967 Mercury is one of 145 Monterey-based S-55 convertibles produced for the model year. The car was delivered new to The Trading Post of Hope, Arkansas, and spent time in Florida before being purchased by the current owner and brought to Arizona in late 2020. Powered by a 428ci Super Marauder V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, the car is finished in metallic blue over white vinyl upholstery. Equipment includes a Holley carburetor, a white soft top, wire-style wheel covers, fender vents, front disc brakes, power steering, a dual exhaust system, front bucket seats, air conditioning, and a push-button AM radio. This S-55 is now offered on dealer consignment with an Elite Marti report, spare parts, records from current ownership, and a clean Arizona title. The car was finished from the factory in Trafalgar Blue (W) and is believed to have been repainted under previous ownership. Equipment includes a power-operated white convertible top, chrome bumpers, fender vents, a driver-side mirror, and quad headlights as well as 428 and S-55 badging. Black-finished 15″ steel wheels wear chrome wire-style covers and are mounted with 225/75 Ultrex AS4 Touring whitewall tires. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums, and the car has power steering. The interior features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in white vinyl with a color-coordinating padded dashboard and door panels over green carpeting. Additional features include air conditioning, a power-adjustable driver seat, green lap belts, a push-button AM radio, an analog clock, a center console, a locking glovebox, a heater, bright trim across the dash, and a floor-mounted shifter. The seatbelts were replaced in 2021. A two-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and a fuel-level gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 75k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership. The 428ci Super Marauder V8 is equipped with a Holley Street Avenger carburetor, a chrome air-cleaner cover, and Mercury-branded chrome valve covers. In 2021 a fuel filter was added and the fuel sending unit, the thermostat, the intake-manifold gasket, and the voltage regulator were replaced. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed C6 automatic transmission.
