1967 Morgan Plus 4

This 1967 Morgan Plus 4 was acquired by the seller in October 2005, and subsequent work included rebuilding the 2,138cc inline-four and installing a five-speed manual transmission. Additional service included rebuilding the dual SU carburetors, overhauling the brakes, fitting an aluminum radiator, an aluminum fuel tank, an alternator, and MWS wire wheels, replacing the black soft top, and reupholstering the interior in black leather. The car is further equipped with front disc brakes, chrome bumpers with overriders, a rear luggage rack, driving lights, side curtains, a Moto-Lita steering wheel, and a Smiths heater. This Plus 4 is now offered with spare parts, service records, manufacturer’s literature, a workshop manual, a car show award, side curtain storage bags, a tonneau cover, a top boot, a rain cover, and a clean Washington title. The car was refinished in the current shade of green under previous ownership and features a replacement black soft top and windshield. Exterior details include fender-mounted mirrors, wind wings, a louvered hood with a leather hood strap, driving lights, a luggage rack, and chrome bumpers with overriders. Sound-dampening material and Wilton carpets were also installed at that time, and the kick panels and door panels were replaced. Equipment includes a Smiths heater, a windshield-mounted rearview mirror, and a passenger-side storage compartment. Smiths instrumentation has been fitted with LED light bulbs and includes a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and a combination gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 16k miles, which is the mileage accumulated since the replacement transmission was installed, per the seller. Total mileage is unknown. The Triumph-sourced 2,138cc inline-four is equipped with dual SU carburetors. The engine was rebuilt circa 2007 at which time a Delta D9 camshaft and lightened flywheel were reportedly installed. It is also equipped with hardened valve seats, an alternator, an aluminum radiator and fuel tank, and tubular headers. The Ford T9 five-speed manual transmission was installed in 2007.
