This 1967 Plymouth GTX hardtop coupe left the factory with a 426ci Hemi V8 and a four-speed manual transmission. The car is said to have been delivered new in Winnipeg, Manitoba, in Canada and was relocated in the early 1980s to the Thunder Bay, Ontario area, where it was acquired by the seller in May 2020. Finished in black over black vinyl upholstery, the car features an aftermarket camshaft, long-tube headers, a Milodon oil pan, a Lakewood bellhousing, Magnum 500–style 14″ wheels, front disc brakes, front bucket seats, a center console, and a push-button radio. Work performed under current ownership reportedly involved replacing the headliner, carpeting, shifter, and wiring. This GTX is now offered in Canada with a spare camshaft and Ontario registration in the seller’s name. The car was finished from the factory in Black (BB) and was repainted under prior ownership. Exterior details include nonfunctional hood scoops, chrome-finished bumpers, a driver-side mirror, a polished fuel-filler cap, and dual exhaust outlets with polished finishers. Some front-end sheet metal is said to have been replaced after the car sustained damage in 1971. Repair work using body filler has been performed to the driver-side quarter panel, and cracks in the paint are evident around the fuel cap. The seller notes that the paint job is of poor quality, and there is damage and rust at the passenger-side rear wheel-well opening. These and other body blemishes can be viewed in the photo gallery below. Magnum 500–style 14″ wheels are mounted with 70-series Coker Wide Trac red-line tires that are due for replacement. The car is equipped with coilover rear shock absorbers. Braking is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums, and stainless-steel brake sleeves reportedly were fitted to the calipers, master cylinder, and wheel cylinders under current ownership. The low-back front bucket seats and rear bench are trimmed in black vinyl upholstery. The carpeting, headliner, seat foam, and shifter were replaced under current ownership, according to the seller. The car is equipped with a locking center console, a heater/defroster, and a push-button AM radio. The steering wheel is cracked and fronts a rectangular 150-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, and alternator status. The five-digit odometer shows 33k miles, approximately 2k of which have been added under current ownership; true mileage is unknown. The 426ci Hemi V8 has been modified with long-tube headers and a Milodon oil pan. A Crane Cams camshaft also is said to be fitted, and the engine-compartment and dashboard wiring was replaced under current ownership. The seller notes red paint on the underside of the hood, and the inner fenders have been modified to accommodate larger headers. The engine stamping is pictured above. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission equipped with a Lakewood bellhousing. Accurate Exhaust mufflers and tail pipes were installed to the dual exhaust system under current ownership.
