1968 Porsche SWB 911 (1965-1968)

This 1968 Porsche 911T is a European-market example that was delivered new in Belgium through the D’Ieteren dealership network. The car remained there until it was imported to Greece in 2005 by the previous owner. He commissioned a thorough refurbishment that included a repaint in the original color, new exterior trim, a new interior, and a rebuild of the matching numbers 2.0-liter flat-six using new Mahle pistons, liners, and rings. The engine retains its factory Weber carburetors and is paired with the original 5-speed manual transaxle. Purchased by BaT regular Alex_V in 2017 as a personal vehicle, this 911 recently received a carburetor rebuild, brake service, and new tires. A Porsche certificate and limited service records come with the car, which is now being offered at no reserve with a clean Greek title in the seller’s name and free shipping to any location. The sheet metal was stripped and repainted in the original Ossi Blue (6803) in 2006. New chrome trim was installed at that time, as were a pair of period Cibie rally lights. The car was professionally detailed in preparation for sale. Genuine Fuchs wheels have been installed and are fitted with a set of new Vredestein tires. The wheels are not correctly date coded, and the spare is a non-original steel wheel. The car was converted to long wheelbase by a previous owner. The interior was refurbished by the previous owner with new black leatherette upholstery, door panels, carpets, and a wood-rimmed steering wheel. Factory-installed options include a power sunroof and raised seats along with a manually-operated radio antenna. A Becker Europa radio has been fitted, and the odometer indicates 56k kilometers (~34,800 miles). The seller notes that the true mileage is unknown and that he has added approximately 1,500 kilometers since his purchase in 2017. The factory 2.0-liter flat-six is paired with a 5-speed manual transaxle and features the original Weber carburetors. In 2006, the previous owner had the engine rebuilt using new Mahle pistons, liners, and rings. The car has been driven less than 5,000 kilometers since, and a recent compression reportedly showed around 180 psi across all six cylinders. A service and tune-up was recently completed by the seller. The carburetors were rebuilt, the gas tank was cleaned, and the fuel lines, cooling fan, and battery were replaced. In addition, a brake service was completed with new rotors being installed. An included certificate from Porsche confirms the delivery date, matching serial numbers, original color combination, and optional equipment.
