This 1969 International Scout 800 is a Restomod custom build by the renowned IH Parts America in Grass Valley, California. This family-run business of enthusiasts have been serving the IH community for over 20 years.

Custom build completed in 2013 with >$80k in receipts; i was provided copies of the records when i acquired this Scout on consignment from IH Parts America in June 2022.

I put in an additional >$30k through IH Parts America subsequent to my purchase in June 2022. Work included wrapping the Scout in a tan color as noted specifically in the Paint description section, removal of the hardtop and replaced with a bikini top, added rear bench seating with seat belts, and re-upholstered all seating with new brown Sunbrella outdoor fabric, new steering wheel, and new black LizardSkin application to the cab floors. This Scout had ~15k miles driven from time of the custom build in 2013 to my acquisition in 2022. I have subsequently added ~5k miles. This is an everyday driver impeccably restored/modified to enjoy years of driving whether weekend drives or commuting to work.

Work included replacing the factory inline-four with a 4.3-liter GM V6 mated to a rebuilt B&M-sourced 700R4 automatic transmission and a Dana 300 dual-range twin-stick transfer case with B&M shifter, an open Dana 30 front axle, and a Dana 44 rear axle equipped with an Auburn Gear limited-slip differential and 3.73:1 gearing. Additional modifications include an Edlebrock intake manifold topped with a Holley four-barrel carburetor, a Champion aluminum radiator fitted with an electric fan, shorty-style headers linked to a single exhaust system, a CPT suspension lift utilizing a rear sway bar, reverse shackles, and Bilstein dampers, front disc brakes, power steering, hydro-boost system, aftermarket bumpers, and 16” Mickey Thompson wheels fitted with Toyo Open Country tires. The factory saddle fuel tanks were removed and converted to storage compartments, replaced by a 15-galllon fuel tank sourced from a Jeep model fueled by a hidden gas cap behind the rear plate. The dashboard has replacement Isspro gauges mounted in a fabricated metal bezel and include an 80-mph speedometer as well as a six-digit odometer indicating 20,488 miles driven since completion of the build in ~2013. True mileage is unknown. The interior is outfitted with adjustable and heated Corbeau bucket seats trimmed in brown Sunbrella outdoor upholstery. An application of black LizardSkin liner covers the cab floors. A locking center console houses an Alpine stereo and custom sound system. The yellow new exterior paint from the build in 2013 was wrapped over in June 2022 with KPMF Metro Satin Desert Storm/K75557.

Truly a special Scout and an opportunity to acquire an East Coast beaches icon.
