This 1970 Alfa Romeo Giulia TI was reportedly sold new in Italy and was acquired by Dutch tuners Arese Classico in 1992. It is the fifth of 14 Giulias refurbished and modified by the firm in the 1990s. The car underwent additional refurbishment work in the 2010s before it was acquired by the seller in 2020. The car is finished in Cloud Grey Metallic over a black interior, and power comes from a replacement 1.8-liter twin-cam four paired with a five-speed manual transmission with synchromesh. Service performed during the seller’s ownership reportedly included the installation of 14″ Borrani wheels, a carburetor service, fresh fluids, and replacement of the brake pads, Koni shocks, bushings, spark plugs, and ignition components. This Giulia is now offered in the Netherlands with service records, refurbishment photos, and Dutch registration in the seller’s name. The car was repainted in Grigio Nube Metallizzato by The 105 Workshop in Etten-Leur, Netherlands, during previous ownership in the 2010s. Features include stainless steel bumpers with overriders, dual side-view mirrors, and an Arese badge on the left fender. The condition of the finish can be seen in the gallery along with photos taken before and during the paintwork. The 6×14″ Borrani alloy wheels were sourced by the seller and are mounted with 185/70 Continental ContiEcoContact 3 tires that were said to have been installed in October 2020 along with stainless steel lug nuts. Suspension modifications include Koni Yellow front and Koni Red rear adjustable shocks, Arese Stage 1 springs, rubber suspension bushings, and spring plates that were reportedly fitted in October 2020. An Imasaf exhaust system was installed during the seller’s ownership, and an October 2020 service included a new hydraulic brake switch, Ferodo front and rear brake pads, and fresh brake fluid. The cabin was reupholstered in black vinyl with a matching dashboard and door panels during the refurbishment, and the headliner and sun visors were also replaced. New red carpets were installed at the same time along with a new parcel shelf. An Arese shift knob is fitted, and black carpets are installed in the trunk. The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a tachometer with a 6,400-rpm redline, a central clock, and a 200-km/h speedometer. New Veglia Borletti water temperature and oil pressure gauges were reportedly installed in the center console during the 2010s refurbishment. Just over 40k kilometers (~25k miles) are shown on the five-digit odometer. Total mileage is unknown. The 1.8-liter twin-cam four is fitted with twin Dell’Orto DHLA40 carburetors and was reportedly rebuilt and installed by Arese Tuning in 1992. Modifications are said to include a nitrated and balanced crankshaft and flywheel, forged pistons, and a manually machined cylinder head with flowed ports and high-performance valves, seats, and guides. A new radiator and hoses were fitted by The 105 Workshop in the 2010s, and service performed under the seller’s ownership included new NGK spark plugs, a distributor cap and rotor, coolant and fuel hoses, fresh coolant, and an oil change, along with adjustments to the valves, carburetors, and ignition. A quilted red hood pad is fitted, and Arese and The 105 Workshop plaques are mounted on the firewall. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission with synchromesh. Refurbishment records and photos are included in the sale. A walk-around and drive video is viewable below along with cold start and compression test footage.
