1970 Buick Skylark

This 1970 Buick Skylark Custom Convertible was first delivered to Gardner Buick or Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, and is powered by a 350ci V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. The car is finished in Bamboo Cream over Saddle vinyl and equipped with a power-operated convertible soft top, 15″ Rallye wheels, power steering, power-assisted front disc brakes, Magnaflow mufflers, power windows, an AM/FM radio, and air conditioning. The current owner purchased the car in 2014, and subsequent work has included resealing the transmission and replacing the headlamps, steering gear, brake master cylinder and booster, rear wheel cylinders and shoes, front upper ball joints, and the rear upper and lower trailing arms. This Skylark is now offered by the seller on behalf of their father at no reserve with a Protect-O-Plate, window sticker, build sheets, owner’s manual, service records, and a clean Massachusetts title. The car was factory-finished in Bamboo Cream. Exterior equipment includes a power-operated Sandalwood convertible soft top, quad headlights, front and rear chrome bumpers, and bright trim. The headlamps were replaced in August 2023. The 15″ Rallye wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires measuring 225/70. The car is equipped with power steering as well as power-assisted front disc brakes with red-finished calipers over cross-drilled and slotted rotors. The brake master cylinder and booster were replaced in 2016, the rear wheel cylinders and shoes were replaced in 2017, and a rear brake hose was replaced in preparation for the sale. Additional work included replacing the front upper ball joints and the rear upper and lower trailing arms in March 2020 and replacing the steering gear in August 2023. The seats are upholstered in Burnished Saddle vinyl, and interior appointments include power windows, an AM/FM radio, lap belts, and air conditioning. The steering wheel fronts an instrument cluster housing a 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, a fuel-level gauge, and a ring of warning lights. The five-digit odometer shows 81k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership. The 350ci V8 is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor. The carburetor was repaired and adjusted in August 2023, and a valve cover was resealed in April 2021. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission that was resealed in April 2021. A dual exhaust system with Magnaflow mufflers is fitted.
