This 1971 BMW 2800CS is a European-market example that was refurbished in 2021, with work consisting of a repaint in Fjord Blue and a refresh of the interior and fuel system. It is powered by a 2.8-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and equipment includes front disc brakes, 14″ alloy wheels, a wood shift knob, power windows, a heated rear window, and a heater. This E9 coupe was previously listed on BaT in January 2024 and is now offered again on dealer consignment in Piacenza, Italy with Italian documents and its Italian libretto. The body was stripped to bare metal and refinished in Fjord Blue in May 2021. Features include chrome bumpers, front bumper overriders, and fender vents as well as dual side mirrors, bright window trim, and quad headlights. Pitting is visible on the chrome taillight surrounds and rear badge, and additional blemishes are shown in the gallery. The 14″ wheels wear polished hubcaps and are mounted with Goodride Radial tires measuring 195/70. Stopping power is provided by front discs and rear drums. The cabin was refreshed in 2021 and houses front bucket seats and contoured rear seats trimmed in blue leather along with a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Wood trim accents the dash, and further appointments include front seat headrests, power windows, a wooden shift knob, a heated rear window, and a heater. The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a 240-km/h speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,200-rpm redline, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 43k kilometers (~26k miles). Total mileage is unknown. The 2.8-liter inline-six was factory rated at 167 horsepower and 174 lb-ft of torque. The fuel tank was replaced in May 2021 per the selling dealer. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. A selection of photos taken during the refresh is included below. The vehicle does not have a title and is being sold with its Italian libretto/registration, which serves as the ownership document in Italy. Filed under: e9
