1972 BMW 3.0CSi E9 Coupe

This 1972 BMW 3.0CSi is a European-market example that was sold new in Paris and acquired by the selling dealer in 2014. It is finished in blue over beige cloth upholstery and powered by a 3.0-liter inline-six mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a pillarless roofline, 14″ alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a Moto-Lita steering wheel, and a Blaupunkt cassette stereo. The engine was rebuilt in 2021, and the oil was changed in preparation for sale. This E9 is now offered in Paris, France with French registration. Originally delivered in Arctic Blue, the body was refinished in 2021 following bodywork and rust repair. Features include a pillarless roofline, vent windows, yellow headlights, and roundels mounted on the C-pillars. 14″ alloy wheels wear Alpina center caps and 195/70 Fulda Carat Assuro tires. Stopping power is provided by disc brakes at all four corners. The seller states that the tires and shocks were replaced in 2013, and that the brake master cylinder, brake calipers, and pads were replaced in 2021. A spare set of wheels is included in the sale. The cabin features beige cloth seats with black trim. Equipment includes a heater, power rear windows, three-point front seatbelts, woodgrain trim, and a Blaupunkt cassette stereo. A wood-rimmed Moto-Lita steering wheel sits ahead of a 240-km/h speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 57k kilometers (~36k miles), approximately 5k of which were added during current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The 3.0-liter inline-six features Bosch D-Jetronic fuel injection and sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Service in 2014 reportedly included servicing the fuel injectors and replacing the fuel tank, fuel pump, radiator, and ignition components.
