This 1973 Citroen DS23 Pallas is a European-market model that reportedly spent around two decades in storage prior to its acquisition by the previous owner around three years ago. A subsequent rotisserie refurbishment included a bare-metal repaint in dark blue, as well as a refresh of the hydraulic system and fuel-injected 2.3-liter inline-four. Shifting is through a four-speed semi-automatic transmission, and additional features include an AM/FM radio, self-leveling hydropneumatic suspension, power-assisted steering and brakes, and steel wheels with polished covers. This DS was recently acquired by the selling dealer in Palermo, Italy and is being offered with free container shipping to the port of New York or Los Angeles, photos from the refurbishment, and Italian registration. The car was stripped to bare metal, placed on a rotisserie, and repainted its current shade of dark blue following rust remediation during prior ownership. Exterior features include a black vinyl roof, C-pillar-mounted turn signals, and swiveling headlights behind glass covers. The 15” steel wheels feature polished covers and are mounted with 185-width Michelin tires. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted brakes, and the car rides on self-leveling hydropneumatic suspension. The seller reports that the hydraulic system was overhauled during the refurbishment. The cabin features seats trimmed in gray fabric with matching carpets, two-tone door panels, and a black dashboard. Amenities include an analog clock, push-button AM/FM radio, and power steering. A single-spoke steering wheel frames Jaeger instrumentation that includes a 200-km/h speedometer flanked by an 8k-rpm tachometer and an array of warning lights. The five-digit odometer shows 24k kilometers (~15k miles), though total mileage is unknown. The fuel-injected 2.3-liter inline-four sends power to the front wheels through a four-speed semi-automatic transmission. The engine was removed and overhauled during the refurbishment. Additional underbody images are provided in the gallery. A number of photos from the refurbishment can also be seen below.
