This 1973 Porsche 911E coupe was converted into a C-production race car in 1999 and is finished in Ruby Red with a livery tribute to the Brumos 911 raced by Peter Gregg and Hurley Haywood. Over the past two decades, the car has campaigned in the SVRA and CVAR. A mechanically-injected 911S-spec 2.4L flat-six powers the rear wheels through a five-speed 915 transaxle, and other features include stiffer suspension, larger sway bars, dual Recaro seats, a welded-in roll cage, and a limited-slip differential. The seller, who is believed to be the fourth owner, purchased the car in 2015 and raced it through 2018, and approximately 12.5 hours of runtime have been added since the last engine and gearbox rebuild. This 911 race car is now being offered on a bill of sale in Texas with a spares package, CoolShirt system, extra wheels, and CVAR logbooks. The headlights and turn indicators have been replaced with covers, and fiberglass bumpers are fitted front and rear. The roll-up door windows and rear window are made from Lexan, and a new glass windshield was installed in 2016 with a set of aluminum retaining clips. Imperfections commensurate with race use are present throughout the finish. The sale includes 10 wheels in total, including one set of five 15×7” ATS cookie cutters and another set of five 15×7” Fuchs alloys. A set of Toyo RA1 and Toyo R888R tires with less than 1 hour of track use are currently mounted. Braking is managed by four-wheel vented discs. RSR-type shocks and struts are reportedly fitted, along with Elephant Racing’s Monoball suspension joints. JWE sway bars have also been added, measuring 31mm front and 23mm rear. A roll cage, complete with a knee bar and door braces, is welded into the cockpit. Recaro SPG seats are mounted for the driver and passenger. Additional safety equipment includes a Team Tech five-point harness for the driver dated October 2016, as well as a five-point harness for the passenger, dated January 2014. A set of RS-style door panels and a dash pad are installed. The Fire Sense extinguisher system is mounted in the passenger footwell and dated January 2017. An AutoMeter tachometer replaces the factory unit with a shift light is located above the dash, and an low oil pressure warning light is fitted where the clock normally resides. A MOMO Prototipo steering wheel is mounted on a Rothsport quick-release hub. Aluminum floorboards and the pedal box were also manufactured by Rennline, while the shifter assembly is from WEVO. The 2.4L flat-six is set up with 911S camshafts, a 10:1 compression ratio, a 930 oil pump, Turbo-style valve covers, and headers tied into twin mufflers. Pacific Fuel Injection rebuilt the Bosch MFI pump to 911S specifications in 2017 with a cold-start primer and a manual enrichment screw. The 915 gearbox is equipped with a limited-slip differential, and cooling is aided by a front-mount oil cooler. Mechanical service under current ownership has been managed by Jones Autowerks in San Antonio, Texas. Approximately 12.5 hours of runtime have been added since the engine and gearbox were rebuilt. The battery has been relocated to the smuggler’s box, and the front trunk area has also been fitted with an ATL fuel cell and Racing Dynamics strut tower brace. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery below. The included history file contains service records, SVAR logbooks, older photos, and a clear Texas title from before the car was converted for track use. Extra suspension parts, old interior panels, a fiberglass RS-style engine cover, and various original components are contained in the spares package. Onboard track footage is attached below.
