1974 Jensen Interceptor

This 1974 Jensen Interceptor is a Mark III example that was purchased by the current owner in 1988, and a mechanical and cosmetic refurbishment was performed between 2009 and 2012. Work included corrosion repairs and refinishing the body in Crimson Red, a refresh of the interior, overhauls of the suspension and braking systems, and rebuilds of the 440ci V8 engine and Torqueflite three-speed automatic transmission. Features include electronic fuel injection, R134a-converted air conditioning, refinished 15″ wheels, replacement wiring, leather seating surfaces, a Sony CD player, and Edelbrock intake and exhaust components. This Mark III Interceptor is now offered at no reserve on dealer consignment in Canada with a refurbishment summary, a car cover, jacking equipment, service records, and British Columbia registration. The car was delivered from the factory in Crimson Red according to the selling dealer, who states that the Carrozzeria Touring-penned body was repainted in 2012 in the current Nexa Autocolor-based finish. Corrosion repairs were performed between 2009 and 2010, and the sills and weather seals were replaced. Features include Hella driving lamps, re-chromed wraparound bumpers, and a chrome-trimmed rear hatch. Five-spoke 15″ alloy wheels were refinished and feature anodized surfaces with body-colored recesses, and 215/70 Hankook tires are fitted at each corner. The car is equipped with power-assisted steering and four-wheel disc brakes, and records indicate that both the braking and suspension systems were overhauled during the refurbishment. The 2+2 cabin features tan upholstery over the front and rear bucket seats. Refinished wood trim lines the center console, and padded center armrests are included for front and rear passengers. Additional features include power-operated windows, a Sony CD player, and R134a-converted air conditioning that was recharged in July 2021. The three-spoke Moto-Lita steering wheel frames Jaeger instruments including a tachometer, a 160-mph speedometer, and a suite of auxiliary gauges housed above the analog clock. The five-digit odometer shows 76k miles, with approximately 40k driven by the current owner in 33 years of ownership. The 440ci “Magnum” V8 was sourced from Chrysler and was rebuilt in 2009 according to records, which note replacement wiring was fitted and the fuel tank was refurbished at the same time. Equipment includes an FiTech Go Street electronic fuel-injection unit fitted atop an Edelbrock Performer intake, a gear reduction starter, a rebuilt radiator equipped with dual cooling fans, and Edelbrock exhaust headers.
