This 1974 Porsche 914 was purchased by the late owner in 2000 and then fitted with a twin-plug 2.0L flat-six and raced in HSR and SVRA-sanctioned events during the 2000s and 2010s. Finished in white with red stripes, the car is equipped with a five-speed manual transaxle, roll cage, Sparco racing seat, Sabelt harness, MOMO steering wheel, Safeco fuel cell, fire suppression system, Patrick Motorsports engine oiling system, 15″ Fuchs wheels, PMO carburetors, tubular headers, and AutoMeter instrumentation. This 914 race car is now offered on behalf of the late owner’s family in Fort Pierce, Florida with race results, a hand-written log book, service records, early photos, and a bill of sale. Fiberglass GT-style bodywork was installed when the car was built for racing in the early 2000s. A roll cage and quick-release doors and decklids were also fitted. The car is finished in white and currently wears a red vinyl stripe and #33 livery. Polished 15″ Fuchs wheels are mounted with 205/50 and 225/50 Toyo Proxes RA1 tires. The car is equipped with adjustable rear coilovers, Heim-joint suspension bushings, brake cooling ducts, and four-wheel disc brakes with drilled front rotors. The open cockpit is protected by a roll cage and equipped with a single Sparco racing seat, a Sabelt harness, a Stroud Safety fire suppression system, a brake bias adjustment dial, a Motorola two-way radio, and an electrical kill switch. A MOMO steering wheel is mounted to a quick-release hub and fronts AutoMeter instrumentation that includes a tachometer and auxiliary gauges. The car is not equipped with a speedometer or odometer. The front trunk houses an oil reservoir and a Fuel Safe fuel cell that was manufactured in June 2021. The 2.0L twin-plug flat-six was built and maintained by Zotz Racing of Orlando, Florida. The engine is equipped with PMO triple-choke carburetors, tubular headers, an MSD electronic ignition, and a Patrick Motorsport engine oiling system. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a modified five-speed transaxle. The ring-and-pinion was replaced in August 2011 and the transaxle re-geared in September 2011. The floor pan beneath the driver’s seat has been modified. The late owner won a 2011 SVRA class championship with the car, and race results, a hand-written log book, and service records will accompany the car along with early photos that document the refurbishment and modification process.
