1974 TVR 2500M

This 1974 TVR 2500M is powered by a 302ci V8 paired with a five-speed manual transmission and is finished in white over red leather. The car is also equipped with a Triumph TR6 differential, a Holley 650cfm carburetor, an Edelbrock intake manifold, and a Ford SVO camshaft as well as 15″ VTO Retro wheels, a Wilwood master cylinder, front disc brakes, Spax Performance shock absorbers, a sunroof, a wood dashboard fascia, and Jensen speakers. The car was previously sold on BaT in July 2021 and was acquired by the selling dealer on BaT in July 2023. This 2500M is now offered by the selling dealer in Canada with British Columbia registration. The fiberglass body was refinished in white in 2022 and features a NACA ducted clamshell hood and a fabric sunroof with a black vinyl cover. Additional exterior details include split bumpers, fender vents, a matte black-painted Kamm tail, dual mirrors, a Le Mans-style fuel filler, and dual exhaust outlets. 15″ VTO Retro wheels are mounted with 195/60 front and 205/60 rear BFGoodrich T/A tires. The modified braking system utilizes Toyota 4Runner-specification calipers over cross-drilled rotors in front and Datsun 280Z-sourced drums at the rear as well as a Wilwood master cylinder. The suspension features Spax Performance shock absorbers. The seats are upholstered in red leather with white piping, and matching upholstery covers the center tunnel and dashboard pad. An auxiliary interior fan is mounted behind the passenger seat, and storage areas are located between and behind the seats. TVR-embroidered floor mats line the floors, 3A Racing pedal covers have been installed,  and Jensen speakers are mounted on the rear parcel shelf. The Grant steering wheel has a sueded wrap, red stitching, and a yellow centering stripe, and the wooden dashboard fascia houses a suite of Smiths instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and gauges monitoring voltage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 55k miles, approximately 150 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The 302ci V8 was installed prior to the seller’s acquisition. A Holley 650cfm carburetor, an Edelbrock intake manifold, a Ford SVO camshaft, MSD Digital 6A ignition, and an electric fuel pump have been installed. Service in August 2021 included replacing the radiator and ignition coils, and in July 2022 the carburetor was adjusted and the water pump, thermostat, and coolant temperature sensor were replaced. An oil service was completed in 2023. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec T5 five-speed manual transmission and a Triumph TR6-sourced differential.
