1975 Datsun 280Z

This 1975 Datsun 280Z was acquired by the seller in 2015 and subsequently modified with a Star Road Fighter wide-body kit as well as a 408ci stroker V8 mated to a Tremec six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Various carbon-fiber components were also installed before the car was repainted white over black vinyl upholstery. Additional equipment includes a half roll cage, 17″ Watanabe multi-piece wheels, Wilwood disc brakes, power steering, BC Racing coilover suspension, LED headlights, a stainless steel exhaust system, VintageAir air conditioning, Speedhut gauges, a Fast LSXR intake manifold, and an aluminum radiator. This Datsun 280Z is offered in Canada with Saskatchewan registration in the seller’s name. The car was repainted white in 2020 following the installation of a Star Road Fighter wide-body kit, which includes bolt-on fender flares, front and rear spoilers, and replacement bumpers. The hood, front fenders, and side mirrors were replaced with carbon-fiber components, and additional details include a billet grille, Vision LED headlights, clear indicator lights, and dual-exhaust outlets exiting through the rear valence. The front and rear badges have been removed, and the fuel filler cap has been relocated behind the rear license plate bracket. Gray 17″ Watanabe multi-piece wheels feature polished lips and are mounted with 275/40 front and 315/35 rear Mickey Thompson Street Comp tires. The suspension is said to have been modified with BC racing coilovers, a Techno Toy Tuning strut bar, and Apex Engineering rear lower control arms and steering knuckles. The seller notes that the car has been fitted with electric power steering. Braking is handled by Wilwood calipers over slotted discs at each corner. The cabin features bucket seats trimmed in black vinyl with quilted inserts and stitched Z headrest logos. A five-point rear roll cage has been installed, and additional features include a carbon-fiber dashboard, center console, and glovebox as well as VintageAir air conditioning, an aftermarket sound system, and a Pioneer touchscreen stereo. The seller notes that the backup camera is not functional. The three-spoke steering wheel frames Speedhut instrumentation including a 250-km/h speedometer with an inset fuel-level gauge and a tachometer with integrated shift lights. Gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and amperage are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 3k miles, which is said to reflect the distance traveled since the completion of the build. Total mileage is unknown. The oil pressure gauge is not connected, per the seller. The 408ci V8 was installed under current ownership and is said to be equipped with an Eagle stroker rotating assembly. Additional equipment includes aluminum heads, an iron block, an upgraded camshaft, a Fast LSXR intake manifold, a Fast throttle body, a Champion aluminum radiator, a fuel cell, an Aeromotive Stealth in-tank pump, and braided fuel lines. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a Tremec T56 six-speed manual transmission and a Quaife limited-slip differential. The axles are said to have been upgraded, and a Mcleod clutch, an aftermarket driveshaft, and a stainless steel exhaust system were installed during the build.
