This 1977 Ford F-250 Ranger XLT began life as a two-wheel drive SuperCab pickup produced in Kansas City, Missouri, and it was acquired by the current owner in 2016. The truck has since undergone a custom refurbishment featuring a conversion to four-wheel drive, the installation of a rebuilt 460ci V8 engine, and rebuild of the three-speed automatic transmission. The truck was also refinished in red and the frame was refinished, and additional modifications include updated suspension components, widened steel wheels, updates to the interior, a Trick Flow carburetor, an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, and more as described below. Driven approximately 200 miles since completion of the build, this F-250 is now offered on behalf of the current owner with British Columbia registration. The body was refinished in its current shade of red during the refurbishment according to the seller, who notes the frame was refinished at the same time. Features include tinted windows, towing mirrors, step bars, and a hitch with its receiver fitted under the rear step bumper. Widened steel wheels finished in black are fitted with 33″ Interco VorTrac all-terrain tires. Disc brakes are fitted up front, and the truck rides on replacement suspension components according to the seller. A red monochromatic treatment is carried throughout the extended cab, including the seat upholstery, carpeting, door panels, and dashboard. The truck retains a Philco AM radio, and further equipment includes a sliding rear window, heating and defrost, vent windows, and lap belts. The two-spoke steering wheel frames an 85-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges housed in a woodgrain-finished binnacle. The five-digit mechanical odometer indicates that nearly 200 miles have been driven since completion of the build. Power is provided by a replacement 460ci V8 that is said to have been rebuilt prior to installation. It is equipped with a Trick Flow carburetor and an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold and polished valve covers. Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a rebuilt three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. A dyno sheet in the gallery below shows peak output of 404 horsepower and 514 lb-ft of torque. Additional photos of the underside are provided in the gallery.
