This 1979 Porsche 911SC was originally sold in Switzerland and received a BTR conversion in 1991 at the RUF facility while owned by Dutch racer Gosse Stielstra. The car was exported from Europe in 2007 and acquired by the general manager of Porsche Centre Calgary in 2010, though he sold it to Ottawa in 2011 before reacquiring it on behalf of Porsche Centre Calgary as a refurbishment project in 2012. It subsequently received a cosmetic and mechanical restoration beginning in 2013 at a reported cost of $76k USD, including a bare metal repaint in Maritime Blue, an engine-out reseal, and a full interior refresh. Power comes from a turbocharged 3.4L flat-six mated to a modified G50 5-speed manual gearbox, and other alterations include a 964 Turbo wide body conversion, 17″ RUF wheels, Recaro racing seats, RUF instrumentation, shaved rain gutters, a RUF intercooler, and much more as described below. Now showing approximately 70k kilometers (~43k miles), this 911 is being offered by Porsche Centre Calgary with 350 photographs of the refurbishment, spreadsheets detailing part numbers used for the build, and a clean Canadian title. Originally dark blue, a bare metal repaint in Maritime Blue was conducted by Cosmos Auto Body following removal of the engine, gearbox, interior, and glass. According to the seller, the rear spoiler rubber was replaced along with all the lights, reflectors, rubber seals, trim pieces, and windshield. This car was featured on BaT back in 2012 before the refurbishment had been conducted and a number of in-process photos of the repaint are included in the gallery below. The 17″ RUF Speedline wheels have been refurbished and are fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport tires. Braking is handled by a pair of new 330mm RUF CTR brake rotors up front with rebuilt aluminum hats. The suspension features larger torsion bars and anti-roll bars. RUF aero mirrors are mounted, and other body modifications include shaved rain gutters, H4 lights, and a 964 Turbo body kit including front and rear bumper covers and side sills, as well as widened flares. According to the seller, the interior was built to emulate a lightweight BTR. Work included adding new carpet, headliner, RS-style door panels, and a dash pad. A pair of once-piece Recaro Rally seats feautre aluminum competition brackets and 6-point Schroth harnesses. The sunroof assembly was rebuilt and the original stereo was removed in favor of a radio blanking plate. Interior functions are reportedly working and the car is not currently equipped with air conditioning. A grey leather dash pad was installed, while RUF instrumentation includes a 350 km/h speedometer. Other interior items include an adjustable boost controller, a padded Matter CTR roll cage, and a fire extinguisher. The odometer currently displays approximately 70k kilometers (~43k miles), about 500 of which have been added since 2013. The 3.4L flat-six features a K28 turbocharger,Bosch Motronic MP1.2 engine management, custom injector blocks, fuel rails, wastegate, and a RUF intercooler. Power is routed through a modified G50 5-speed manual gearbox, and an engine-out service conducted by Porsche Centre Calgary included re-sealing the engine, a valve adjustment, new hoses, and drive belts. Other work consisted of cryo-blasting the fan assembly, as well as replacing various shields, linkages, and brackets. According to the seller, oil tubes were replaced, including the piping from the dry sump to the front-mounted oil cooler. The wastegate was rebuilt and the adjustable boost mechanism was serviced. The underbody and wheel wells were reportedly cryo-blasted, and a new clutch kit from Patricks Motorsports was installed. Exhaust is handled by a RUF twin-outlet system and the car is not fitted with catalytic converters.
