This 1980 FJ43 Land er 4×4 could accurately be called a restomod, as it has been fully restored and given some significant modifications for better driving performance and comfort. The original OHV F-series inline-six was replaced with a much later and rebuilt 1FZ DOHC inline-six, making significantly more power. The engine is teamed here with a five-speed manual overdrive transmission in place of the vehicle’s original four-speed. a result, the vehicle cruises easily at 75 mph and can exceed that speed, according to the seller. The builder also installed disc brakes, air conditioning, power steering, a new wiring harness, LED lights, and new tires. The odometer, calibrated in mph, was reset after the restoration. This vehicle was originally sold in a South or n market and privately imported to the U.S. These were like U.S.-market versions but had a speedometer calibrated in kilometers and generally lacked cabin heat. Also, many of these were soft-tops, while U.S. models had removable hardtops. 

The FJ43 was the longer version of the FJ40, riding on a 95.6-inch wheelbase, vs. 90 for the FJ40. The FJ43 is 15 inches longer overall ( FJ43 Land er 4×4 has been restored and modified.
