This 1988 BMW 325i Touring is a right-hand drive wagon that is said to have been brought to the US by an importer from whom it was acquired by the seller in 2016. The car has since been repowered with a 3.2-liter S54 straight-six and a six-speed manual transmission from a 2005 E46 M3. Additional modifications include M-Tech II body cladding, a five-lug swap, big brake kits, Ground Control coilovers, UUC sport sway bars, a Mishimoto aluminum radiator, Recaro sport seats, a Yakima roof rack, and more. A steering rack rebuild was performed in September 2019, and a new clutch and flywheel were installed in 2020. This E30 Touring is offered with a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.  The car is said to have been repainted in white and wears an add-on M Tech II body kit comprising the side skirts, rocker cladding, bumper covers, and valances. European-style trim includes “smiley” headlights with washers and wipers, grilles with continuous top strips, and side marker lights. A Yakima roof rack has also been fitted, while the windows wear black trim and aftermarket tint film. Five-lug 17″ Rotiform basketweave wheels feature gold centers with chrome lips and wear Falken Azenis AT615k tires. UUC sport sway bars are fitted along with Ground Control coilovers, and braking is handled by an E36 M3 big brake kit up front and an E46 325i big brake kit out back. The steering rack was rebuilt in September 2019.  Replacement Recaro sport seats are trimmed in black synthetic suede with gray inserts, and the split folding rear bench has been reupholstered to match. Additional features include an M shift knob, a carpeted dash cover, and a Sony CD player. The dash top can be seen up close in the gallery below. An M Tech II steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and a six-digit odometer showing just over 149k chassis miles. Total mileage is unknown. Several warning lights are illuminated, and the instrument cluster has not been recalibrated for the engine swap according to the seller. The 3.2-liter S54 inline-six was sourced from a 2005 M3 and overhauled before installation by the seller. The engine was rated at 333 horsepower with 262 lb-ft of torque when new. Additional underhood items include an Andrews S54 swap wiring harness, a CAN bus controller to run the air conditioning compressor, a cold air intake, a Mishimoto aluminum radiator, and a Racing Dynamics strut brace. Approximately 3k miles have reportedly been added by the seller since the engine swap. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. Modifications include oil pan and subframe modifications by Arc Asylum, a custom front crossmember, offset front control arm bushings, and more. A new clutch and flywheel were installed during the engine and transmission swap. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery below. Filed under: 3 series, 3-series, e30
