1988 Ferrari Testarossa

This 1988 Ferrari Testarossa is said to have been sold new in Switzerland and spent time in the US before it was ultimately exported to Ontario, Canada in the early 2000s. It is powered by a 4.9-liter flat-12 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle and is finished in Rosso Corsa over beige leather. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, 16″ five-spoke alloy wheels, a Tubi Style exhaust system, pop-up headlights, air conditioning, power windows, and a gated shifter. The selling dealer acquired the car in 2006 and soon after sold it to its current owner who has since added approximately 11k of the 34k kilometers (~21k miles) shown. This Testarossa is now offered in Canada on dealer consignment with the owner’s manual, a tool kit, service records, an accident-free Carfax report, and Ontario registration. The Pininfarina-designed body is finished in Rosso Corsa and features pop-up headlights, dual side mirrors, fog lights, an asymmetrical cooling duct beneath the left fog lamp, side intake strakes, black-finished rocker panels, and quad exhaust outlets. Silver-finished 16″ five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel ventilated discs. The cockpit is trimmed in beige leather upholstery over the seats, door panels, and lower dashboard. Interior amenities include motorized seat belts as well as a gated shifter located on the center console alongside controls for the air conditioning, rear window defroster, and power windows. The air-conditioning system was recharged in October 2021 and wear is visible on the driver’s seat outer bolster. The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Veglia instrumentation including a 320-km/h speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline as well as gauges for oil pressure and coolant temperature. An analog clock and auxiliary gauges for fuel level and oil temperature are housed in the center stack. The six-digit odometer shows 34k kilometers (~21k miles), approximately 11k of which were added under current ownership. The 4.9-liter flat-12 was factory rated at 380 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque. A timing belt service was most recently completed in August 2017, and October 2018 service included rebuilding the fuel distributors and replacing the fuel pump, right-side ignition coil, and three fuel injectors. The oil was most recently changed in June 2021 at 34k kilometers. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. A Tubi Style exhaust system is fitted, and the clutch components were most recently replaced in 2008 at 27k kilometers. A tool kit, the owner’s manual, and service records are included in the sale. The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists registration history in New Jersey as well as Ontario, Canada, from its first entry in September 2001.
