This 1989 Porsche 911 Turbo cabriolet spent time in Washington before being imported to Canada in 2009. The car subsequently underwent a cosmetic refurbishment that included a repaint in black and a reupholstered interior, and it is powered by a turbocharged and modified 3.4-liter flat-six linked to a five-speed G50 manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Modifications include 18″ Forgeline wheels, a K27 turbocharger, an Andial Racing intercooler, a Mocal oil cooler, a MoTeC engine management system, a Fabspeed exhaust system, a big brake kit, a lowered rear suspension, and an aftermarket sound system. Additional features include a black soft top, a “tea tray” rear spoiler, heated power-adjustable sport seats, a MOMO steering wheel, and air conditioning. Work performed since 2019 has included fluid changes and a replacement fuel filter, valve cover gaskets, and spark plugs. This 930 Turbo cabriolet is now offered by the selling dealer in Canada with owner’s manuals, service records, a boot cover, a clean Carfax report, and Alberta registration. Finished from the factory in black (L700), the body was repainted by Continental European Auto Body of Calgary, Alberta in June 2019. Exterior features include a black convertible soft top, a “tea tray” rear spoiler, fog lights, black stone guards ahead of the rear wheels, and dual exhaust outlets. The front bumper was repaired in 2008, and the windshield washer system does not work. Black-finished 18″ Forgeline S03 wheels feature polished lips and are wrapped in Hankook Ventus V12 Evo tires measuring 225/40 up front and 295/30 out back. A big brake kit featuring Porsche-branded Brembo calipers over cross-drilled rotors was installed in 1999, and the lowered rear suspension is equipped with Bilstein shocks. The brake fluid was flushed in preparation for the sale. The heated and power-adjustable front sport seats were recovered in black leather in June 2019 and feature red stitching and embroidery on the headrests. Matching upholstery was also fitted over the rear seats and door panels at that time. Amenities include a MOMO steering wheel, power windows, and a Porsche CR-220 stereo that is linked to a JBL amplifier and Eclipse and Focal speakers. The air conditioning has been converted to R134a refrigerant and was recharged in August 2019. Replacement instrumentation was fitted in April 2010 and consists of a 300-km/h speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,300-rpm redline, and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, oil level, fuel level, and boost pressure. The six-digit odometer shows just under 105k kilometers (~65k miles). The flat-six was rebuilt and modified to 3.4-liters in 1998 by Gerry Woods Porsche Engines of Campbell, California, with a JWE valve spring kit and Carrillo connecting rods. Additional modifications include a K27 turbocharger, an Andial Racing intercooler, a Mocal oil cooler, a MoTeC M48 engine management system, an MSD ignition system, and a Fabspeed Motorsport exhaust system. A replacement fuel filter, valve cover gaskets, and spark plugs were fitted in July 2019, and an oil change was conducted in April 2022. Results from a 2011 dynamometer test indicate maximum outputs of approximately 375 horsepower and 367 lb-ft of torque, and results from 2022 compression and leak down tests are viewable in the gallery. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed G50 manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The transmission fluid was changed in July 2019. Decoding the options sticker under the front hood reveals: 070 – Tonneau cover 139 – Seat heating, left 158 – Blaupunkt cassette radio 220 – Limited-slip differential 340 – Seat heating, right 383 – Sports seat, left, electrical height adjustment 387 – Sports seat, right, electrical height adjustment 494 – Amplifier The Carfax report is free from accidents or other damage and shows registration history in Washington and Alberta from an initial update in February 1996.
