This 1995 BMW M5 Touring is one of 891 produced worldwide and was sold new in Germany before being imported to Oregon by its believed second owner. The car is powered by a 3.8L S38B38 inline-six mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and modifications include a set of adjustable Ground Control coilovers, a front strut brace, a short shifter, and extra sound deadening. The seller acquired the car 13 years ago and service conducted in the last year included installation of a new water pump and headliner as well as an oil and filter change. This E34 is offered with receipts back to 2007, 2001 EPA documents, 2012 California BAR paperwork, German and US owner’s manuals, a factory first aid kit, and a clean California title. Oxford Green Metallic (324) paint is shown up close in the gallery below, which also details blemishes including chips in the forward surfaces and a dent in the lower rear driver-side door. The exterior features stock roof rails, a touring double sunroof, and factory M-Sport mirrors. Lower trim pieces including the front lip spoiler, rear diffuser, and rocker panel covers retain their correct Granite Silver Metallic finish. The suspension is modified with a set of adjustable Ground Control coilovers, and staggered OEM 18″ M-Parallel wheels wear Michelin Pilot Super Sport rubber all around. Per the seller, four new OEM Euro-spec headlights with city lights were recently installed along with Euro driving lights featuring high-intensity fog light settings. Gas struts for the hood, tailgate and rear window were also replaced. The interior features extended black Nappa leather over the electrically adjustable heated front sport seats, lower dash, and console, which is home to a UUC short shift kit. Dynamat sound deadening material is applied throughout the rear areas, and a new headliner was installed in 2017. A Clarion head unit feeds two amplifiers, a 12″ subwoofer mounted in the spare tire area, and nine speakers throughout the cabin. The speedometer was replaced during federalization, though all other gauges are Euro-spec. The odometer currently shows 184k miles according to the seller, who notes that a chip from a 528i Touring was retrofitted during importation and believes true mileage to be approximately 37k lower. An M5 chip was subsequently reinstalled. The 3.8L 24-valve S38B38 inline-six was rated at 340 horsepower at 6,900 rpm and 295 lb-ft of torque when new. The Getrag Type D 6-speed manual gearbox sends power to the rear wheels through a limited-slip differential. The seller describes maintenance performed by himself as well as La Jolla Independent in southern California, which included replacement of the water pump, master cylinder, clutch hydraulic cylinder, brake rotors all around, radiator and hoses, a pair of front hubs, and upper/lower control arms. The seller notes that all OEM parts were used throughout his ownership and an aluminum front strut brace is fitted. Photos of the wheel wells are viewable in the gallery below to show the condition of the aftermarket coilover suspension and brakes. Records from the original German owner are included in the sale as well as California BAR paperwork, import documentation, and receipts from the seller’s time with the car. A walk-around, interior tour, and engine start video is viewable below.
