1995 Mercedes-Benz 500E & E500

This 1995 Mercedes-Benz E500 Limited was built in November 1994 and is one of 120 examples produced for the model year. The car spent time in Japan before being imported in 2012 to Canada, where it was acquired by the selling dealer in 2020. Power comes from a 5.0-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission, and the car is finished in Sapphire Black over a black-and-gray leather interior. Equipment includes an electric sunroof, automatic climate control, heated power-adjustable front seats with memory, a cassette stereo, and 17″ Evo wheels. Modifications include a Wiechers strut brace and an alarm system. This final-year W124 E500 shows just under 87k kilometers (~54k miles) and is now offered at no reserve with a tool roll, service records from 2012 to 2017, a clean Carfax report, and a clean British Columbia registration. Final-year E500 models were hand-assembled alongside the Audi RS2 Avant at Porsche’s Rossle Bau facility in Zuffenhausen, Germany. Sapphire Black (009) paint was offered exclusively on Limited models, and features include clear turn signal lenses and side marker lamps, a power antenna, and a power tilting and sliding steel sunroof. The 17″ Evo wheels were included from the factory and are wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza S001 245/45 tires. A matching spare wheel is fitted under the trunk floor. The E500 featured a wider track and a lower stance compared to other W124 models, while the front disc brakes were shared with the contemporary R129 SL600. The car is trimmed in black leather with matching carpets and gray inserts on the seats and door panels. Heated and power-adjustable front sport seats feature a memory function and perforated bolster inserts, while additional features include bird’s-eye maple wood trim, cruise control, automatic climate control, dual front airbags, a factory cassette stereo, and Mercedes-Benz-stamped stainless steel door sills. An alarm system was added during previous ownership. A wood-accented steering wheel frames a 260-km/h speedometer, a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline and an inset clock, gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure, and an LCD external thermometer. Just under 87k kilometers (~54k miles) are shown on the six-digit odometer. The 5.0-liter M119 V8 features dual overhead camshafts and produced 326 horsepower when new. A Wiechers Sport strut brace was fitted by a previous owner. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission.
