1997 Land Rover Defender 90 NAS

This 1997 Land Rover Defender 90 is #2,354 of approximately 2,800 North American-Specification examples imported into the US for the model year. It was exported from Texas to Canada in 2001 and acquired by the seller in 2002. Powered by a 4.0-liter V8 linked with a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case, the truck is finished in Coniston Green over gray upholstery, and it is equipped with a front brush guard, a pop-up glass sunroof, a roof rack, 16″ five-spoke wheels, rear jump seats, air conditioning, a cassette stereo, and a CD changer. This Defender 90 NAS has 96k miles and is now offered in Alberta, Canada, with manufacturer’s literature, service records, spare parts, and Alberta registration in the seller’s name. NAS models were equipped with a roll cage from the factory, and this example is finished in Coniston Green with black wheel arch flares. Equipment includes a front brush guard, a Hannibal roof rack, a rear ladder, daytime running lights, auxiliary lights, step bars, and a tubular rear bumper with a receiver hitch. A Canadian-market Carfax report provided by the seller lists collision damage to the right-front corner in April 2007 entries, and an October 2010 entry lists a collision claim. The seller reports that the front bumper was repaired and paint work was completed on the front end during current ownership, and paint flaws behind the brush guard are noted along with dings on the doors. Five-spoke 16″ alloy wheels are wrapped in 265/75 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO tires, and a spare is mounted out back. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes.
