This 1998 Land Rover Defender 110 is a left-hand-drive German-market example that underwent a refurbishment in England in 2015 before being imported to Canada later that year. Work involved refinishing the body in Corris Grey, overhauling the interior, replacing the frame, and installing a replacement 2.5L 300Tdi turbodiesel inline-four and an R380 five-speed manual transmission. The truck has a locking center differential, 16″ Sawtooth wheels, a black soft top, air conditioning, a JVC CD stereo, and inward-facing rear jump seats. The current owner acquired the truck in 2015, and the seller reports work in 2023 included replacing the clutch, rear main seal, a turbocharger oil feed line, and a power steering line. This Defender 110 is offered in Canada by the seller on behalf of the current owner with a 2014 refurbishment estimate, refurbishment photos, a clean Carfax report, and Ontario registration in the current owner’s name. The bodywork was refinished in Corris Grey and mounted to a replacement galvanized frame during the refurbishment carried out by Foley Specialist Vehicles of Essex, UK. A black soft top with roll-up rear windows was retrofitted to the truck, and the exterior also has a KBX Upgrades front grille, headlight trim, and fender vents along with checker-plate fender trim, body-color wheel arch extensions, rear mud flaps, a rear half door, a folding rear step, and a Mantec swing-away rear tire carrier. Rock chips are visible on the fender flares and bubbling paint is noted on the driver’s door. Black-finished 16″ Sawtooth wheels are mounted with 235/85 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO tires. The truck is equipped with power steering and braking is handled by discs on all four corners. The brakes and suspension were overhauled during the refurbishment. The high-back front bucket seats, second-row bench, and inward-facing rear jump seats were replaced in 2015 and are trimmed in patterned gray cloth with gray vinyl surrounds. An aftermarket dashboard was also installed along with air conditioning, a JVC CD stereo, and replacement speakers. Hand-crank side windows and black rubber floor mats are additional details. The rear-left door panel is damaged. A MOMO steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 93k miles, approximately 9k of which were added under current ownership. True mileage is unknown. The replacement 2.5-liter 300Tdi turbodiesel inline-four is said to have been installed during the 2015 work, at which time the fuel tank and radiator were replaced. The seller says service in August 2023 included an oil change and replacement of the rear main seal, a turbocharger oil feed line, and a power steering line. Power is directed to all four wheels through a replacement R380 five-speed manual transmission along with a dual-range transfer case and a locking center differential. The clutch was replaced in August 2023 according to the seller. Photos documenting various stages of the refurbishment work can be viewed in the gallery. The Carfax report notes no accidents or other damage and lists history in Ontario from an initial entry in June 2015. The vehicle does not have a title and is being sold on its Ontario registration, which serves as the ownership document in Ontario, Canada.
