1999 BMW E39 5-Series

This 1999 BMW 540i Sport Wagon has been fitted with a 4.9-liter S62 V8, six-speed manual transmission, limited-slip differential, 18″ wheels, and interior components from an E39 M5. Additional equipment includes M5 bumpers, KW front coilovers, StopTech front brakes, a Dinan ECU tune, intakes, and mufflers, a CSF aluminum radiator, European-market taillights, an E60 short shifter, and an XTRONS head unit. The seller acquired the car in California in 2013 and subsequently relocated it to Canada. The seller states that the engine swap was performed in May 2021 and that additional service at that time included replacing the suspension components, rod bearings, timing chain tensioners, water pump, thermostat, coolant pipe O-rings, cam angle sensors, gaskets, seals, and fluids. This modified E39 wagon is now offered with removed parts, a Carfax report, and Ontario registration. The body is finished in Biarritz Blue Metallic (363) and is fitted with an M5 front bumper, an M-Tech Touring rear bumper, and M5-sourced mirrors, grilles, and fender liners. Refinished 18″ Style 65 wheels are wrapped in Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires measuring 245/40 front and 275/35 rear. The car is equipped with KW front coilovers, KW rear shocks, StopTech front brake calipers, M5 rear brake calipers, cross-drilled rotors, and braided stainless brake hoses. The seller notes that the centerlink, suspension arms, tie rod ends, and bushings have been replaced and that M5 rear subframe bushings and rear braces were added. The interior features heated and power-adjustable M5 seats upholstered in black leather along with silver trim on the center console, dashboard, and door panels.
