2003 Lotus Esprit

This 2003 Lotus Esprit is one of a reported 79 Final Edition examples produced for the 2003 and 2004 model years. The car is a Canadian-market example that was first sold in British Columbia and was acquired by the current owner in 2016. Finished in red over black leather upholstery, the car is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V8 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes staggered-diameter wheels, pop-up headlights, Bilstein dampers, AP Racing front brake calipers, a rear spoiler, air conditioning, and an Alpine stereo. The car was refinished during current ownership and the timing belt was replaced in August 2022. This Esprit V8 has 45k kilometers (~28k miles) and is now offered in Ontario by the selling dealer with service records, spare parts, a car cover, manufacturer’s literature, US and Canadian Carfax reports, and Ontario registration. The final iteration of the Esprit was introduced in 2002 and featured a redesigned tail panel with round taillights. This example was refinished in its current shade of red after undergoing body panel repairs lasting from June 2017 until March 2020. Features include pop-up headlights, a front spoiler, a glass roof panel, fog lights, wheel arch flares, a rear spoiler, and twin center-mounted exhaust outlets. The seller notes scratches are present on the door handles and scuff marks on the front spoiler. The left headlight does not fully raise. The car is equipped with Bilstein dampers, and braking is handled by Lotus-branded front AP Racing calipers and cross-drilled rotors at all four corners. The wheels were refinished in August 2019, and the tires were mounted in 2016. The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in black leather with diamond-patterned stitching. Appointments include red shifter and door panel inserts, Esprit-branded sill plates, air conditioning, power windows and mirrors, Lotus-branded floor mats, an Alpine CD stereo, a Cobra alarm, and a tire pressure monitor mounted to the center stack. A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 300-km/h speedometer, a tachometer, and supplementary gauges. The digital odometer indicates 45k kilometers (~28k miles), of which approximately 1k were added during current ownership. The mid-mounted twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V8 was factory rated at 350 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. The engine cover and timing belt were replaced in August 2022.
