This 2003 Porsche GT3 Cup was purchased by seller in 2014 after it was imported by a dealer from Brazil. Subsequently driven in a total of 15 HPDE events from 2014-2016, the car now shows 16,785 miles and is powered by a 3.6L flat-six paired with a 6-speed manual transaxle. New engine and transaxle mounts have been fitted by the seller, and other maintenance with the last few years included new brake rotors and pads, a cooling system service, battery replacement, exterior repaint, and more as detailed below. This 996 GT3 race car is now being offered with a new set of seats, harnesses, and tires, as well as records and a Pennsylvania bill of sale.. Changes for the 2002 model year included Turbo-style headlamps, newly-shaped front air inlets, smaller side mirrors, and an adjustable rear wing. This car was repainted in 2014, and the finish is said to remain in good condition for a track car apart from a small dent along the rear passenger fender. Lightweight 18″ BBS multi-piece wheels wear Toyo Proxes R888 tires, and an additional set of unused tires are included. Though the car has been fitted with new rear frame rails and Tarett sway bar end links, the suspension could benefit from a refresh according to the seller. The car can be seen on tack in the photo above, before the repaint was performed. The interior features a quick-release three-spoke Sparco steering wheel, a fire suppression system, and engine and battery cut-off switches. A cooling unit is mounted in the front storage compartment and supplies cooled water to the driver’s race suit though a double insulated hose with automatic shutoff and quick disconnects. Noted cosmetic issues include some cracks at the base of the door panels and a tear in the seat bolster. Factory instrumentation remains in working order, and the digital odometer indicates 16,785 miles. Per the seller, a new pair of Sparco seats and harnesses are included in the sale. Power is provided by a 3.6L flat-six paired with a 6-speed manual transaxle that produced roughly 380 horsepower at 7,200 rpm in Cup trim. This example has been maintained over the course of the seller’s ownership with new engine and transaxle mounts, brake rotors and pads, cooling system service, battery replacement, and race set-up performed by Wright Motorsports of Batavia, Ohio. Footage of the car driven at Mid-Ohio can be viewed in the clip above. Campaigned by the seller in a total of 15 HPDE events from 2014-2016, the car is expected by the seller to require an engine refresh soon. Several detailed photos of the mechanicals are included in the gallery below. Included in the sale are two additional Spaco seats and harnesses, along with a spare unused set of Toyo Proxes R888 tires.
