2005 Mercedes-Benz R230 SL

This 2005 Mercedes-Benz SL600 is said to have remained with its original owner between New York and Florida before the selling dealer’s 2021 purchase, and it now has 11k miles. It is powered by a twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V12 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission and is finished in black over Charcoal leather. Features include a power-folding hardtop, bi-xenon headlights, 18″ five-spoke wheels, heated and ventilated multi-contour seats, a Bose sound system, and COMAND with navigation. This R230 is now offered by the selling dealer with partial service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Florida title. The car is finished in black (040) and features a power-folding convertible hardtop, bi-xenon headlights, fog lights, dual exhaust outlets, and fender air vents. Records indicate that the convertible top was serviced in December 2021. The selling dealer states that a fluorescent light bulb fell on the rear of the car resulting in chips on the rear decklid, rear window, left-rear quarter window, and rear quarter panels. They also note that the automatic trunk closing function is inoperative, and photos of paint meter readings are provided in the gallery below. The 18″ five-spoke wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires measuring 255/40 up front and 285/35 out back. The car features Active Body Control (ABC) suspension as well as an Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Automatic Slip Control (ASR). The heated, ventilated, and massaging multi-contour seats are upholstered in Charcoal leather complemented by burl walnut wood trim. Interior amenities include dual-zone automatic climate control, a wind deflector, cruise control, a Bose sound system, and COMAND with navigation. The selling dealer notes that one of the key fobs requires reprogramming. The wood- and leather-rimmed steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 11k miles. The twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter M275 V12 was factory rated at 493 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. Records indicate that the radiator and cooling fan assembly were replaced in December 2021, and the batteries were reportedly replaced in preparation for the sale. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission. Dry ice cleaning was performed on the underside in preparation for the sale.
