This 2007 Lotus Sport Exige Cup 255 is a track-only car finished in Chrome Orange and powered by a supercharged 1.8-liter inline-four paired with a six-speed manual transaxle and limited-slip differential. Derived from the Exige S and modified for SCCA events, it was acquired by the current owner in November 2015. Features include a full roll cage, Corbeau race seat, OMP harnesses, a fire suppression system, Nitron adjustable dampers, Hyperco springs, and AP brakes. The engine was race prepped in 2015 by 3R Racing in Englewood, Colorado. This Exige Cup 255 has 10k miles and is offered by the selling dealer on behalf of the owner with service records, spare parts, a clean Carfax report, and a bill of sale. The Exige Cup 255 was the successor to the Exige Cup 240, both of which were based on the road-going Exige S. The car is finished in Chrome Orange with a roof scoop. Exterior features include a front spoiler, a rear diffuser, blanked headlights, mesh grills, fender vents, side air scoops, a BOE clamshell hinge, and a Cup wing. The rear bumper cover has been repaired and repainted due to an on-track incident. Silver Lotus Sport alloy wheels measure 16″ up front and 17″ out back and are mounted with Hoosier R7 tires. Stopping power is provided by four wheel disc brakes with slotted rotors with AP calipers in the front and Pagid RS14 brake pads. The suspension has been fitted with Nitron adjustable dampers with custom perches, Hyperco springs, and steering rack raiser plates. Maintenance since 2020 is said to have included a brake fluid flush and replacement of the upper and lower front and rear ball joints, wheel bearings and hubs, steering rack, upper and lower rear control arms, and rear toe link Heim joints. The cabin features a Corbeau composite racing seat upholstered in black cloth with a matching dashboard over bare aluminum floors and body-colored door panels. Features include OMP racing harnesses, a full roll cage, an aluminum shift knob, a floor-mounted Lifeline Fire system, and a Cool Shirt system. The fire system was reportedly serviced by HRP in June 2021, and the Cool Shirt system is said to have been cleaned in March 2021. The Sparco steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a 10k-rpm tachometer. Additional features include a shift light, an AiM Solo DL, an AiM Smarty Cam, a Tec.Bean 7″ LCD, and a rearview camera. The digital odometer indicates 10k miles, approximately 5k of which were added under current ownership. The Toyota-sourced supercharged 1.8-liter 2ZZ-GE inline-four was rebuilt by 3R Racing in 2015 with modifications including: Calico ACL main bearings Calico Race rod bearings Calico thrust bearings ARP main and head studs Mahle Pistons Cosworth head gasket JCR race-prepped cylinder head Updated intercooler and air inlets Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and OS Giken Super Lock LSD. The undercarriage features a flat bottom and aerodynamic fairings. The transaxle has been modified with the following components: SSC Improved Louts Shift cables Jubu Racing 5.0:1 final drive Jubu Racing C6X gear upgrade CVJ race-prepped axles with upgraded cages Spare parts included in the sale are said to include spare wheels and tires, factory Lotus Exige S components, a shifter and center console, control arms, a parking brake assembly, and mud flaps. Additional parts accompanying the car are depicted in the gallery. The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Connecticut.
