2008 Audi S4

This 2008 Audi S4 Avant is a 40k mile, one owner example equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission. Finished in Jet Blue Metallic with a gray leather interior, this S4 was purchased new from Audi Stevens Creek in San Jose. The seller invested $30k in extensive power, handling, and braking modifications in an effort to achieve RS4-like performance. 2010 work performed by VF Engineering in Los Angeles included a VF supercharger, Stasis/Öhlins Motorsports suspension, Alcon 14.4″ big brake upgrade, and HRE P40 Series 19×9″ monoblock wheels. A custom Focal/Audison stereo was installed by Sound Innovations. This S4 is sold with a clean Carfax documenting both stated mileage and single ownership, and a clean California title. The custom Jet Blue Metallic is an Audi R8 color and shows a nice shine with a few minor door dings, but no notable swirls or scratches. Body panels are straight with no obvious flaws, though the seller reports one valet parking incident that required a passenger-side OEM headlight replacement and front fender repaint. Other exterior finishes including rubber, badges, and minimal brightwork all appear clean and show no unusual wear or deterioration. Supportive S4-specific Recaro seats are trimmed in gray leather that remains taut, with no rips, marks, or unusual creasing.  The dash, door panels, carpets, console, and other interior surfaces appear clean, showing few signs of wear and no discoloration. The custom dash head unit houses an Android Nexus 7 tablet, which can run Spotify, Tidal, and other audio apps, or drive real time performance apps via a Bluetooth connection. Google maps can be run by connecting a smartphone. This S4 is equipped with a 6-speed manual gearbox rather then the more common ZF Tiptronic. A/C is said to blow cold, and all lighting, power features, gauges, and controls are reported to be working as they should. Stock rims have been replaced with HRE P40 Series 19×9″ monoblock wheels, showing a small amount of curb rash at the outer edge of each rim. These larger wheels are shod with low-profile Continental ExtremeContact tires, filling the wheel wells. The seller notes the uprated Stasis/Öhlins suspension is set up with a lowered stance, providing better handling than a stock S4, but is easily adjustable should the buyer prefer a more compliant ride. An Alcon 14.4″ big brake upgrade has also been fitted as can be seen above. The aluminum 4.2L DOHC V8 delivered 340 horsepower when new, and was upgraded in 2010 with a VF Engineering supercharger. A Getrag M6S 6-speed manual and Torsen T-2 Quattro full-time four-wheel drive complete the drivetrain. This uprated S4 has been lightly driven of late, and is regularly maintained by 034Motorsport in San Francisco, where last reported services included a new battery and oil/filer change 4 months ago. Undercarriage photos show no signs of fluid leaks or accumulation. Surface corrosion is light and appears limited to exhaust tubing. Suspension components are clean, boots are in place and untorn, and there are no indications of unusual wear or road damage. A Focal/Audison stereo was provided by Sound Innovations of Union City, California. Custom installation includes components housed in existing cargo cubbies, and sub-woofers neatly mounted below the floor of the cargo bay. The attached Carfax confirms the mileage and original ownership.
