Make: Ford
Model: Ford Mustang S550

This Ford Mustang was built by BC Race Cars in Ontario, Canada, and campaigned in Trans Am, SCCA GT1, and NASA events by the original owner. Its tube-frame chassis wears carbon-fiber bodywork, and power is provided by a Roush-Yates 358ci V8 paired with a G-Force four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes 16″ Bogart wheels, an adjustable Öhlins Racing suspension, adjustable swaybars, Brembo brake calipers, a G-Force 9″ Ford rear end, an adjustable carbon-fiber rear wing, a dual MSD ignition system, an ATL 20-gallon fuel cell, a custom exhaust system, a Kirkey Racing seat, a Traqmate data acquisition system, and a three-spoke steering wheel. The seller acquired the car in 2022, and it was previously listed on BaT in March 2023. This Mustang race car is now offered at no reserve in Sebring, Florida, with spare wheels and a bill of sale. The car was built on a tube-frame Gateway Racing chassis, and replacement Advanced Composite Products carbon-fiber bodywork was installed in 2019. VP Racing graphics are present on the hood and sides, and features include an adjustable carbon-fiber rear spoiler, a removable driver’s half door, dual side mirrors, taillights, and an exhaust outlet in front of the right-rear quarter panel. Chips and peeling vinyl are noted around the body. Polished 16″ Bogart wheels are wrapped in Goodyear racing slicks sized 25.5×14″ front and 28.5×14.5″ rear. The car is equipped with an adjustable Öhlins Racing suspension, cabin-controlled adjustable sway bars, and Brembo disc brakes. The cockpit features an integrated roll cage, Schroth interior and window nets, a Kirkey Racing seat, a racing harness, a Traqmate data acquisition system, and a G-Force H-pattern long shifter. A three-spoke steering wheel fronts an AutoMeter Digital Pro Shift System controller along with a 10k-rpm tachometer and an array of auxiliary readouts. The hour meter reads 127 hours. The Roush-Yates 358ci V8 was reportedly rebuilt by Lozano Brothers Porting of New Braunfels, Texas, and fitted with D3 cylinder heads. Additional equipment includes a 20-gallon fuel cell, an ATL aluminum radiator, a carbon-fiber airbox shroud, a dual MSD ignition system, and a custom exhaust system. The seller claims that there are less than four hours on the rebuilt engine and that the fluids were recently changed. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a G-Force four-speed manual transmission and a G-Force 9″ Ford rear end. The Gateway Racing chassis tag lists serial number MP-006. Photos of Trans Am, SCCA, and NASA inspection stickers are provided in the gallery. The car does not have a title and is sold on a bill of sale.
