This Ford Taurus is a NASCAR race car driven by Ricky Rudd in the Winston Cup Series from 2000 to 2002 and was said to have been refurbished in Georgia by Gene Felton Restorations in 2016 before being acquired by the current owner in 2017. The car is finished in a black and yellow #28 Texaco Havoline livery and is powered by a 358ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes 15″ Aero wheels, Goodyear racing slicks, Brembo brakes, Bilstein shocks, an adjustable rear spoiler, a roll cage, a fire-suppression system, a quick-release steering wheel, a trunk-mounted fuel cell, and a BUTLERBuilt fixed bucket seat with head restraints. This Cup Series race car is now offered on dealer consignment in Oregon with racing-log sheets, an SVRA log book, and a bill of sale. The car features a tube-frame chassis and black and yellow bodywork with a #28 Texaco Havoline livery. Details include an adjustable rear spoiler, decals mimicking the headlights and taillights of a Ford Taurus, Lexan windows, and sponsorship graphics. Scratches, dings, and stone chips are noted around the body. Black 15” Aero steel wheels are accented with yellow pinstriping and mounted with Goodyear Eagle racing slicks. The suspension utilizes Bilstein shocks, and braking is handled by Brembo four-wheel discs with custom air ducts. The cockpit features a single BUTLERBuilt racing seat with a Simpson harness. The integrated roll cage is padded around the driver seat, and additional equipment includes Simpson window nets, a brake-bias adjuster, a fire-suppression system, and a custom dashboard panel and switchgear. A fuel cell is located in the trunk. The padded Sweet Manufacturing three-spoke steering wheel is attached to a quick-release hub and fronts an aluminum instrument panel housing AutoMeter gauges and a dash-mounted AutoMeter 11k-rpm tachometer. No odometer is present, and true chassis mileage is unknown. The 358ci V8 features a Holley four-barrel carburetor, a painted carbon-fiber airbox, and tubular exhaust headers. The car is also equipped with power steering, a C&R Racing aluminum radiator, an oil cooler, and stainless-steel braided fuel and oil lines. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Additional images of the underside are provided in the gallery below. A #24 sticker is applied to the dash. The accompanying racing-log sheets mention the road courses Watkins Glen and Sonoma. The car does not have a traditional VIN, does not have a title, and is not legal for road use. It is being sold on a bill of sale.
