This closed-cockpit race car was reportedly built by Canton-Mecca Corporation for Trans Am, SCCA GT1, and SCCA club racing events. Equipment includes a steel tube chassis, fiberglass Camaro-style bodywork, a 420ci V8, a four-speed manual transmission, and Penske adjustable coilovers. Additional features include a roll cage with door bars, a Recaro racing seat, a fire-suppression system, an ATL fuel cell, Wildwood disc brakes, and 16″ aluminum wheels with Pirelli slicks. The seller acquired the car in 2005 and participated in multiple racing events at Daytona International Speedway and Sebring Raceway before carrying out a refurbishment in 2022. The included 28′ enclosed trailer features a winch, an air conditioner, a tool chest, a sink, and custom aluminum ramps. This Trans Am racer is now offered with spare parts, spare wheels and tires, an SCCA logbook, a bill of sale for the race car, and a clean Florida title for the trailer in the name of a business owned by the seller’s spouse. The Derhaag Motorsports fiberglass bodywork features removable front and rear sections and was reportedly refinished in black with silver and purple graphics, sponsorship decals, and #16 markings on the hood and door panels in 2022. Exterior details include an integrated front spoiler, louvered vents in the front fenders and roof panel, a plexiglass windshield and rear window, dual mirrors, an HRP carbon-fiber wing, and a single exhaust outlet exiting from the right door panel. Oxidation is visible on the finish of the rear wing, and a spare silver hood and black nose are included in the sale. Polished aluminum 16″ Real wheels are mounted with 310/65 front and 340/75 rear Pirelli P Zero slick tires. The suspension is equipped with spherical bushings and adjustable Penske coilovers with remote reservoirs. Braking is handled by Wilwood multi-piston calipers over slotted and ventilated rotors with cooling ducts for the front brakes. Two sets of spare wheels and tires are included in the sale along with extra springs. The cockpit features a single Recaro fixed-back race seat, a Schroth multi-point harness, a roll cage with door bars, a window net, a Joe’s Racing Products shift boot, a fire-suppression system, and a Canton Accusump oil accumulator. An iON Air Pro 2 motorsport camera and a Motorola radio system are installed, and a toggle switch panel in the dash controls the Chillout driver cooling controls. MSD ignition components are affixed to the right floorboard. The quick-release steering wheel features a push-to-talk radio button and fronts a sheet-metal dashboard with instrumentation consisting of a Stack 12k-rpm tachometer, twin fuel-pressure gauges, and auxiliary gauges for voltage and oil temperature. An additional AutoMeter 10k-rpm tachometer and auxiliary gauges for oil pressure and coolant temperature are mounted on top of the dash along with an AFX air-fuel ratio display. The car is not equipped with an odometer, and true mileage is unknown. The 420ci V8 was reportedly built by Karl Performance in Iowa, and a dynamometer test graph is pictured in the gallery. The engine features the following parts: Dart Iron Eagle engine block ACL bearings Crower 3.875″ stroke crank Carillo connecting rods CP pistons Cometic head gaskets 15-degree Dart aluminum cylinder heads Titanium valves MSD ignition Tilton Super Starter AED Competition-modified Holley 750-cfm carburetor Insulated fuel lines Heat-wrapped tubular headers Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tilton 5.25″ four-disc clutch, an Andrews A341 four-speed manual transmission, and a Ford 9″ rear end housing an Eaton Detroit locker with 3.50:1 gearing. A spare differential assembly with 4.00:1 gearing is included in the sale. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery. The included 28′ double-axle enclosed trailer is equipped with a tongue jack, a diamond-plate aluminum floor, alloy wheels, fenders, brake and running lights, and a rear ramp door with custom aluminum loading ramps. Trailer accessories include a Warn winch, rooftop air conditioning, fresh-water and gray-water tanks, an empty tool chest, a nitrogen tank, a sink, cabinets, and a ratchet-strap system.
