This Porsche 906 re-creation was built between 2020 and 2021 by a 906 specialist in Southwestern France. It has a fiberglass body over a tubular spaceframe and is powered by a 2.7-liter flat-six engine with triple-throat Weber carburetors, and a Carrera RS-style lightened flywheel. The car also features a Porsche 914 side-shift five-speed manual transaxle, an oil cooler, coil-sprung independent suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, 15” wheels, and red bucket seats.

The original 906 made waves in 1966 with a Group 4 competition homologation and class wins at the 24 Hours of Daytona, Monza, Spa, Nürburgring, and an overall Targa Florio victory. This replica mirrors the 906’s construction with a tubular steel spaceframe and fiberglass body. The chassis was built decades ago and recently bodied.

The green body has front-hinged doors instead of the original 906’s gullwing doors. Other features include a louvered plexiglass rear canopy, bullet-style fender mirrors, faired-in headlights, a vented front hood panel with quick-release pins, and “Carrera 6” script on the fenders.

Silver-painted wheels with 195/60 Mazzini ECO605 tires in the front and 215/60 Habilead Comfort Max tires in the rear, handle the road. Disc brakes at each corner manage stopping power, while the independent suspension features double wishbones and coil springs at both ends.

Inside, it’s left-hand drive with red bucket seats. You’ll find a central shifter with a polished knob, plexiglass side windows with hinged vent panels, and a three-spoke steering wheel in front of an 8k-rpm tachometer on a black fiberglass dash. There’s no odometer, so mileage is unknown.

The mid-mounted 2.7L flat-six engine, stamped with serial number 6360668, matches a 911/81 engine from a 1976 Porsche 911. It’s modified by a French Porsche specialist, using triple-throat Weber carburetors with intake trumpets, and has a Carrera RS-style lightened flywheel. An oil cooler is mounted in the nose compartment. Power goes to the rear wheels via a side-shift five-speed manual transaxle from a 914, reinforced before installation.

Vehicle will be sold with Georgia registration in our dealership name (transferrable) along with bill of sale.
