1949 Chevrolet Advance Design Pickup (1947-1955)

This 1949 Chevrolet 3100 panel truck is finished in red with black fenders and powered by a 350ci small-block V8. The truck is also equipped with a Tremec five-speed manual transmission, an Eaton Detroit Truetrac rear differential, 15″ Cragar wheels, Wilwood front disc brakes, power steering, a Holley carburetor, a custom exhaust system, front bucket seats, a Kiesler Engineering shifter, air conditioning, and an AM/FM radio. The seller acquired the truck in 2008 and the modifications were made during current ownership. This panel truck is now offered in Florida with a spare set of wheels, literature, and a clean Pennsylvania title in the seller’s name. The truck has been repainted in red and black and custom touches include deleted bumpers, a rear roll pan with integrated taillights, and front signals concealed in the grille. The truck is equipped with a Mustang II front suspension, a Speedway Motors four-link rear with adjustable coilovers, and front and rear swaybars. Braking is handled by Wilwood front discs and Ford 9″ rear drums. The cab features black and tan leather bucket seats along with tan trim and matching carpets. Additional equipment includes air conditioning, a Kiesler Engineering shifter, and an aftermarket AM/FM radio. The leather-wrapped aftermarket steering wheel fronts a 90-mph speedometer and a four-in-one combination gauge that displays fuel level, voltage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 9k miles, 3k of which were added by the seller. The total mileage is unknown. The rear cargo area features tan carpeting, upholstered side paneling, and aftermarket speakers. The 350ci V8 was installed under the seller’s ownership and is topped with an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold and a Holley carburetor. Additional equipment includes finned valve covers, a replacement radiator with an aluminum shroud, Taylor Cable spark plug wires, tubular exhaust headers, and a custom exhaust system. An oil change was performed in March 2023. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec five-speed manual transmission and an Eaton Detroit Truetrac rear differential.
