1974 Volkswagen Split-Window Bus

This 1974 Volkswagen Type 2 bus was acquired by the current owner in 2020 and converted to 21-window specification as part of a 2023 refurbishment completed in Brazil. Additional work before its 2024 importation involved painting the bus in green and white, refreshing the white interior, and installing a replacement 1.6-liter flat-four. Shifting is through a four-speed manual transaxle, and additional equipment includes 14″ steel wheels, painted bumpers, front disc brakes, front Safari windows, and a retractable cloth sunroof. This Type 2 T1 is now offered by the seller with a clean Florida title in the name of the owner’s LLC. The bus was refinished in green and white and converted to a 21-window body style as part of the work completed prior to importation. Exterior features include painted bumpers, front Safari windows, a retractable cloth sunroof, and a driver-side mirror. White 14″ wheels wear polished hubcaps and are wrapped in BSW Vanmax Compasal tires. The wheels, tires, and front disc brakes were replaced in April 2023, according to the seller. The cab features a split bench seat that is upholstered in white with green sides, and interior metal surfaces are finished in white. The dash features an open storage area and a passenger grab handle. Right-side swing-out doors provide access to the rear compartment, which features two rows of bench seats. The steering wheel fronts a 90-mp/h speedometer and a fuel-level gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 77 miles. Total mileage is unknown. The air-cooled 1.6L flat-four is a replacement that was overhauled and installed in 2023, according to the seller.
