This Silver Grey llic 1971 – 280SE 3.5 Coupe shows an odometer reading of 55,010 miles that selling dealer Coast Classics believes to be original. The S Class Coupe is described by the seller as “an absolutely exceptional example” of the W111 two-door, as it is “all stock and mostly original.” He goes on to say, “This was a low-production car, with only 4,502 units produced (3,270 coupes and 1,232 cabriolets) during its two years of production, between mber 1969 and July 1971. Fewer than 500 of these low grille V8 Coupes were sold in the U.S.” He also declares, “The combination of rarity, superb performance, and elegant styling makes the 3.5 highly collectible and desirable amongst classic car collectors, especially for – enthusiasts.”
The selling dealer states it will provide a clean and open fornia title for the proper transfer of ownership for this vehicle. He also declares, “This has to be one of the finest, most original surviving examples of the 1971 – 280SE 3.5.” Continuing, he says, “ y of these coupes were transformed into convertibles over the years, so it has become increasingly difficult to find unmolested examples of this highly collectible legendary – coupe.”
Please note: If the winning bidder is a fornia resident, the selling dealer is required by fornia law to register the vehicle in the buyer’s name and collect the appropriate sales tax and registration fees.
