This 1967 Volkswagen Type 2 Kombi is finished in ivory over gray upholstery and powered by a replacement 1.6-liter flat-four mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a split windshield, 14″ steel wheels, removable bench seats, and front lap belts. The bus was acquired by the seller in 1991, reportedly from its original owner, and a cosmetic refurbishment is said to have been carried out in 1999. Service in 2020 included an oil change, a tune-up, and a carburetor rebuild along with replacement of the fuel tank, battery, rear brake shoes, valve cover gaskets, and ignition components. This split-screen Type 2 is now offered with a 2020 service invoice, period advertisements, and a Washington title in the seller’s name. The bus was refinished in ivory in 1999 and features a split windshield, chrome trim, dual mirrors, and white bumpers with overriders. Corrosion on the bumpers and flaws in the finish are detailed in the gallery. Color-matched 14″ wheels with gray hubcaps wear older 185/75 white-wall tires, and a full-size spare is mounted in the cargo area. The rear brake shoes and axle boots were replaced in October 2020. The cabin was refurbished in 1999 and features front bucket seats and two removable bench seats upholstered in light gray cloth and trimmed with darker gray vinyl. Equipment includes front lap belts and black rubber floor mats. Damage to an interior door panel is shown in the gallery below. A black two-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a body-colored dashboard that houses an 80-mph speedometer. The seller notes that the gas gauge is inoperative. The five-digit odometer shows 1k miles, though 5k miles are said to have been added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown. The replacement air-cooled 1.6L flat-four was serviced by Euro Union in Spokane Valley, Washington in October 2020 that included rebuilding the carburetor, resealing the oil pump, changing the oil, and adjusting the valves. Items replaced at that time include the: Fuel tank Valve cover gaskets Exhaust gaskets Distributor, cap, rotor, points, and spark plug wires Battery Intake boots Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle. An oil leak is noted by the seller. Period advertisements and a 2020 service invoice are included in the sale. Filed under: vw
