This 1965 Volkswagen Type 2 was outfitted by E-Z Camper of America in Littlerock, California, in 1965. It is said to have remained with the family of the original owner until 2013 and was purchased by the current owner in 2018. Refurbished during previous ownership, the van is finished in white and red and features a wood-over-metal roof rack, a Bendix Sapphire II AM/FM radio, a folding rear bench, a folding table, a cabinet with a built-in icebox and water pump, and storage areas throughout the cabin. Power is from a 1.5-liter flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. This Model 211 camper van is now offered on dealer consignment in Missouri with spare parts, recent service records, literature, and a clean Montana title. The exterior was reportedly refinished in white over red in 1992 and features right-side cargo doors, white-painted bumpers, a wood-on-metal roof rack, a rear liftgate, and an “EZ Camper of America” placard above the right-front wheel well. Imperfections can be seen in the gallery below, including paint chips, scrapes on the bumper, and signs of wear on the drip rail underneath the roof rack. The 14″ painted wheels wear chrome VW hubcaps and 185-series Yokohama Super Van 356 tires. All four wheel cylinders and the front brake shoes were replaced in 2018. The refurbished cabin features front seats upholstered in beige cloth with vinyl backs. Charcoal carpets are fitted up front, along with a Bendix Sapphire II AM/FM radio and a black steering wheel, the latter of which frames a five-digit odometer showing 88k miles. The selling dealer notes that the odometer has rolled over. The rear compartment features a vinyl floor and a central fold-out table surrounded by a half-width bench and a full-width fold-down rear bench. A wood-paneled cabinet features a drawer, an icebox, a built-in water pump and reservoir, and a fold-out secondary countertop. Storage compartments are present throughout the cabin including on the doors, underneath the rear bench, and in the rear compartment. The rear side windows are fitted with aluminum screens. The 1.5-liter flat-four was reportedly rebuilt during previous ownership, and the battery was replaced in 2019. Work in 2018 included replacing the fuel pump, fuel sending unit, and fuel filter, in addition to a carburetor overhaul. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transaxle.
